K3 was an exception...and exceptions don't make the rule...pick up any movie in the last 2-3 years and you won't find a difference of more than 15-20 crores between Taran and BOI...

Despite Ek Villain's other names came from bigger success than Sid

Ritesh - Grand Masti - 98cr SUPER HIT, Humshakals (good opening) -60cr

Shraddha - Aashiqui 2 (Blockbuster) 70cr+

Mohit Suri - Aashiqui 2(BB), Murder 2 (SH) and many other hits

Mithoon & Ankit's Super Hit Album after Aashiqui 2

& SID THE MEGASTAR - Hasee Toh Phasee (Average) 34cr - BOI

On serious note. It's amusing how Sid fans make fun of Varun's film despite knowing it's a success on Ramadan/facing competition with regional film and finally not having chartbuster album and mysterious trailer like EV!!! Ek Villain also had wider release. 400 - 600 more screens. Even with HSKD's success not a single Varun fan is crediting him for only reason behind the success.

Finally, Sid fans are taking digs at Varun fans and his films. I guess the truth hurts. Get over it. It's just a BO report. If you wanna support Taran & Komal then I hope you stick by that decision and support all their figures whether Krrish 3's 240cr figures OR Main Tera Hero's clean Hit verdict 😆

+ BOI is only Indian BO site that holds database most verdicts of Bollywood films. For years to come. People will look upto BOI for the verdicts. People like Komal & Taran announces - verdicts and collections today are often forgotten by tomorrow as their set of data are unfound online. Hence they change their verdicts every now and then

BOI is considered most reliable Box Office site after Box Mojo online. Hence Wiki/Zoom/New Channels follow their collections over Producers

Industry ppl are Super Fake, they never reveal their failures, ulta they will show in a big way how big their film is, specially Ekta. Don't go by Industry ppl, only believe the actual audience response, which u see when u see the film.
