Ek Villian dropped badly in the third weekend and the week is heading for business around 3.50 crore nett which will take it to around 97 crore nett after three weeks. The drop is around 85% from the previous weekend as a major film like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania released.
The film will now not reach the 100 crore nett mark and finish at around the 98 crore nett mark. It will join films like Singham, Race 2, Grand Masti, Raajneeti and Talaash will which finished in that 90-100 crore nett range.
The film had an excellent opening but has not sustained too well. Delhi and Punjab sustained fairly well but the rest starting showing noticeable drops from the first Monday onwards. Still due to the huge initial and reasonable costs it is a Super Hit film and possibly the biggest hit of the first half of 2014.
