Agar Big B yahan hain to bhoot Casper ki kya zarurat!
Make way Casper, Big B is here. Yes, Amitabh Bachchan will be playing a friendly ghost in Ravi Chopra's next production – Bhootnath. While this is a second film after Paheli in which Bachchan will be dealing with ghostly theme, this is the first time that the B R Chopra banner is making a film with a director from outside the Chopra clan. The film – a tender story revolving around a grandfather and a grandson – marks the debut of Vivek Sharma as a director. Vivek had approached Chopra with the concept on recommendation from Karan Johar. When Ravi Chopra heard the concept, he jumped at it and decided to cast Big B to play the title role. Big B too liked the story and agreed to play the part. Bhootnath also features Juhi Chawla in an important role.
AntiPiracy is one of the worst problems!!!!
Percept:Anti-Piracycampaign
Piracy is one of the worst problems that face the Indian movie and music industry. Every production house is affected by it and filmmakers like Rakesh Roshan and Yash Raj Films take special measures to prevent their films from getting in the hands of pirates. Now, Percept Picture Company, one of the major organized corporate film producers in the country has taken a novel approach to fight film piracy. Percept has released a hard-hitting documentary that highlights the issue of piracy and its spread in India. The 2-minute audiovisual will be screened 40 times a day at all PVR Cinemas multiplexes across the country. This audio-visual has been conceptualized and executed by Renzil D'Silva who was one of the creative brains behind Rang De Basanti and works as Senior Creative Director at the advertising firm Ogilvy and Mather.
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna has set new box office records across the globe. But the films leading lady, Preity Zinta is nowhere to be seen. The industry is buzzing with various reasons for her disappearance. However, the truth is Preity Zinta has already moved on and is currently shooting in London for Shaad Ali's Jhoom Barabar Jhoom alongside Abhishek Bachchan. She did not even wait to savor the success of KANK but is aware that it has created quite a buzz and raised quite a few eyebrows. She thinks that it is unfair that people are criticizing Karan for going too far. On the one hand they want something different, while on the other hand the very same people criticize some one who actually dares to do so. She for one is proud of the film. On the point that she and Abhishek had very short roles, Preity retorts that this is not an age where an actor's performance is judged on the length of his or her role. Well said, Preity.
82-year-old Dev Anand, the evergreen legend, has added another feather to his much decorated cap. Dev Anand has been invited to be the guest editor of Patrika, the Hindi online magazine of British Broadcasting Corporation. Dev Anand will serve as the guest editor of the online magazine that carries features about India and issues related to India, for a duration of three months. Dev Anand told the press that he was pleasantly surprised by this offer and remarked on the fact that both BBC and Dev Anand stand for an exclusive originality that refuses to copy trends.
