Like I said before even if she was Salmans #198,664 POA I never really liked/hated her . Mainly it was I difference .

I did enjoy a few of her films .

She has lived 40+ years with AB Sr and is still married to him while I would have kicked him to the curb, taken the children and the money a long time ago. If even quarter of the rumors are true, the woman is a saint.

Just one rumor IDK if it is fact or fiction, but supposedly when AB Sr was in hospital during the whole Coolie thing and Jaya was going from mandir to mandir to pray for his life, the name on his lips was not his kids or parents or Jaya but Rekha. If true, will you be bitter or sweet ?

For living with him after that and not throwing him out the woman has my utmost respect. Why does she do that IDK, but she has built a life for herself and I do admire her as a person for that more than AB Sr.

not because of what AB Sr. did..

but I do admire Jaya B as a person.

she was more successful when they got married. she did sacrifice her career (I read some old articles and they did mention, she was bigger star than him when they married and she put her career on back bench) .

and she stood by him.. in his bad times, when he was rumored to have affair with Rekha, when he was on death bed, when he had financial crisis.

woman definitely deserves some adulation for it.

Ash is and will always be in demand. Sh eis one of the few Indian actresses to have represented our nation at an international level. She is beautiful, talented and well just one of the top actresses till date. So the forum people hate her as their favourites still have to compete with an old aunty who doesn't know how to act.

P.S She knows how to act dude...initially she was bad but later on she proved to be extremely versatile.

Ye old and cliched "Behind every successful man there is a strong woman".

Talent alone cannot take a man to the top and BW is a prime example of it. What helped AB was the image of their love story and the whole 'family man' image. Her mil was very difficult and I believe so was AB Sr without the affairs. Who did the boring day to day work of taking care of the house, his clothes, his food, their kids, his parents. Jaya. Who gave up an award winning career.

Not just Jaya but behind every mega successful BW actor there is a woman from Raj Kapoor who had Krishna who quietly put up with his affairs and raised his kids to Gauri Khan. I think SRK is a great dad and is phenomenal to achieve what he has in 20 + years, but without Gauri to do the work behind the scenes, the boring thankless job of running the house, looking after the kids and so on impossible.

Without these women, the attention of these men to their careers would not have been that meticulous and great. Everything else was taken care of by someone else and so they had time and energy to concentrate on their careers. I would love my Kajol to come back, but she is a mom first and it is clear to see in her kids faces and Ajay's career what impact her staying at home has been. Without these women these men would not have become who they are. 100% impossible IMO.

I admire the women for handling home. But sorry. Family image had nothing to do with stardom then. This is why Dilip K, Ashok K, Guru Dutt, Dev Anand, Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna etc were open about their affairs back then. Talent and personality onscreen mattered.

How do you think Dharam stayed as a much loved superstar despite alcoholism, affairs, violent outbursts, two marriages, religious conversion? Charisma. Onscreen persona.

Personal life is just discussed online or in gossip mags. Real life junta couldn't care less whether someone was a family man or not.

Pre release of Zanjeer people might have talked about Pran, Jaya but after it, there was talk of only Amitabh. That is power of onscreen personality and talent.
