I am okay with the kissing..i just don't like the full on bed scenes if they are done just for the heck of it
kareena and saif's bed scene left me cringing in kurbaan
that was an over dose
but some times it is a must...like you can't take those away from a movie like TDP where it is an integral part of the story
HSKD was a clean movie..the kissing scenes were cute..they didn't show them doing much on the bed..it was quite alright

I think the big thing to remember is that the audience is changing. New generation of film goer's culture and mentality regarding kissing and sex is changing. I think I remember when the kissing scene in Raja Hindustani was such a big hoopla. And that wasn't even kissing. Aamir and Kairsma just touched their lips lol. I honestly don't see how they can completely eliminate kissing scenes or even some sex scenes from movies anymore.

As for clean family films and Salman Khan I think some people have this perception of kissing=inappropriate and then the whole movie is judged based on that. Lifting up a girl's skirt without her consent and even her knowledge for the first few seconds is nothing short of sexual harassment. Just because it is in a very popular peppy song doesn't change that fact. It does however glamorizes harassment and degrading of women. It does give the young impressionable teenage boy the potential message that if it's OK for Salman Khan to lift up a girl's skirt then it is perhaps OK for him too.

Yes I'm getting off my soap box now. But that scene in Jumme Ki Raat and "Main tandoori Murghi" in Fevicol are offensive.

exactly...just because there is no kissing...a movie is clean?? What about...inappropriate action, teasing, harassment, double meaning dialogues, dirty lyrics...

I would hope people e smart enough to know reel vs real!! And thats the case there so many movies that one can say are degrading like dhoom 3 s kamli where aamir is staring at katrina where she strips to almost nothing!! And in action jackson ajay kicking a girl in the song? Etc...

Anyways merry xmas

For the most part they probably are. But in my opinion it's naive to think sexually harassing a woman by the hero doesn't send some kind of negative message to the young impressionable audience.

But then within the context of reel vs real a kissing or sex scene is reel as well. Why is that offensive or vulgar and lifting up a skirt is not? Why are two people who love each other kissing makes for an uncomfortable moment for a family watching a movie but lifting up a girl's skirt, shaking her ass in front of the camera, gyrating her pelvis to a song or jutting out her boobs right, left and center doesn't?

I agree with your examples. They are offensive as well. But in this debate a few called Salman Khan's movies clean. So my post was in response to that. Also the issue is consent. Jackie's character is not OK with her skirt being lifted up like that. Katrina dances and moves her legs every which way while wearing short shorts of her own fee will in Kamli. Is it offensive? Yes. Is it more offensive than a kissing scene? To me no. Is it more offensive than what happens in Jumme Ki Raat? Not even by a long shot. Not even comparable.

The kissing sex scenes used to promote the movie is disgusting. Nowadays they use this strategy to lure in the audience. There has to be a purpose for these scenes and if they are just used for promotion tactics then I have no respect for those involved with the movie. The content and scriptwriting is already going down the drain and by adding these types of scenes in the movie for the wrong intentions, the movie becomes trash. And thankfully audience is slowly rejecting these types of movies like the major movies of this year.

I don't know thats the just way its always been . 😆😆😆 My family don't got patience to change their values at this stage 😆😆

Im still going to say again my theory that implied sexual action is somewhat better than actual sexual action . Thats just me tho 😉

But were she upset why did she take her jacket out and dance along. So basically she wasnt bothered..since you bringing up that point..regarding what people do, thats a easy cop out blaming entertainers ..but ye i can see why those scenes you mentioned may bother some and get your point, but in the end one shoud know whats rt and and wrong!!

...
Regarding kissing/ sex i think some meant that its akward with those who are conservative or watching with ones parents or elders who arent modern..and esp in case its throughout the movie my relatives didnt like jthj due to that and were shocked SRK doing that!!

Oh yes I know that's the way it has been. And you are right that actual sexual action is seen as bad but implied sex is ignored. Maybe subconsciously the audiences are underestimated and it is believed that no one can think or analyze for themselves. Monkey do what monkey see, but monkey cannot think.

Ahhh good question. She wasn't bothered probably because the filmmaker or people in charge didn't see those actions as wrong. It had a very 80s or 90s approach of the hero stalking the girl and she falls in love with him by the end of the song. Every seen Hassina Maan Jayegi? Govinda is singing and asking Karisma to love him. She says no. Sunjay comes and pulls out a knife and suddenly Karisma is in love. The sad part in all of this is the whole thing is seen as entertainment. But such was the norm of movie romance in those days.

Having said all of the above (throughout this debate tonight) yes at the end of the day it is not the entertainment industry's responsibility to raise our children for us, and they cannot be our moral guide. I also agree that parents' and grandparents' generations being more conservative would make for some awkward moments. But to be fair, my mother would also have a lot to say about Jackie drinking, taking off her jacket and then dancing in her super short dress, just like she would about Katrina's Kamli. And sex scenes just makes her hit the FF button lol.

Oh by the way, Merry Christmas and thanks 😊 Sorry didn't mean to ignore that earlier
