Maybe its the one take thingy...But I also felt its cuz of the mindset of the character...I didnt mind him being him lethargic there cuz there was this man who has lost last glimmer of hope,happiness,light,strength every human emotion...he was like a rock...he lacked energy and direction...it was like he was walking around in search of some last straw...the men who came in his way were some minor destructions..he didnt have a powerful rage towards them...Or maybe Mohit wanted Sid to execute the scene like that...he doesnt believe in loud emoting...sometimes the actions are too subtle,that it looks like under-acting lol...in some scenes,Mohit himself told Sid and RD to maintain blank expression in eyes(source:India TV IV)...And IF it was an acting flaw,it would've been reflected in the introduction scene too...But there Sid was fierce and aggressive enough

These 2 are still limited as actors 😆...looong way to go...Only other replacement I can think is Arjun Kapoor...maybe Sushant,though havent seen his aggressive side...but he is a good actor so maybe he can pull off,...I dont think Ranveer can...Guru cannot afford to be loud,going by Mohit's vision.

I have watched this movie for sid and also i feel connected to guru's character b/c of sid so i can't imagine anyone at his place😳!

I suggested Ranveer taking intp consideration, the Lootera persona. In Lootera, he was so quiet and subtle, especially in the last scenes.👏 But it's entirely another thing that he likes to be loud all the time.🤔

Ranveer was brilliant as Varun in lootera as far as subtle emoting is concerned,(though voice modulation and dialogue delivery needed work) but when it comes to gangster role,right now I have the vision of Bikram in Gunday 😆...And anyhow Mohit isnt an ace director like VAM to extract pitch perfect performances from the cast I feel ...Right now I dont think Ranveer can,only Sushant and Arjun...Maybe he will prove me wrong in future

But yayy! What's done is done. Sid was Guru, is Guru and will always be Guru and EV is a super hit and will by God's grace soon be a 100 crore movie of his career. Rest haters can burn!😆

I am not sure about it... I cant imagine someone like Varun or Ayushmaan doing this .. physically they wouldnt suit the role , though they are good actors..

Varun can do this perfectly Saturday Saturday his love for saturday 😆
