Some BW singers (and actors who sing ) use Auto-tune in their music. Infact maybe all of them use auto-tune, it's just that some use very very little where it isn't noticeable and some drains it to the maximum where they sound like a completely different person altogether.
So acc to you, which singer or singer/actor wouldn't have a singing career if Auto-tune had not existed?
