You think most people haven't heard of THe Wire? 😕
It was the most talked about show in its time, and in the top 10 highest rated Tv shows.

You wanna know a really underrated Tv Show? Rick and Morty 😆 It's like one of the best Tv show I've seen in a long time.

On the contrary, The Wire wasn't the most talked about show in its time at all. It was majorly snubbed at award shows. It only found its glory later on and gathered a huge cult following. You should check your facts. 😆

Here's one article among many on it http://oliverfarry.com/on-film/the-wire/

Dude Emmys always ignore great TV shows, but it was praised a lot by critics and had huge fan following. I know because I used to visit the boards.

Yes it had a cult following. Mostly posthumous. When it actually aired, many people didn't really care much. You're right, it has a lot of fan following online but what I meant was when it was actually on air in the initial years, it was largely ignored.

@Dexy - Long time 🤗and agree with you. The Wire was highly underrated. Had very average viewing numbers too. I think it picked pace and fan following only when it was at it's last leg. And from then on , it went out to be so well recognized. Still a cult show. Love Love the show.
on Topic - Big no! Even AB Sr cannot pull a Heisenberg !

On the contrary, The WIRE was not making HBO a lot of money but HBO still decided to run it because they knew it would go down in history as an All time great..It only got average viewership and never won any major awards..

From whatever I have seen in the promos, it's the story of this businessman with a health problem, having two wives, where his son from his current wife gets kidnapped and how he tries to rescue him and how he makes his daughter from the previous marriage, the CEO of his company.

Is the story of Breaking Bad similar?

@ Charminggenie: Hey Genie! Long time indeed. 🤗

@SB: No SB, that's not the plot of Breaking Bad. I guess this show is going to be different then. Well...good, if it is. I would like to watch it. I think they wrote this article because the protagonist in both shows have life threatening illnesses. Maybe that's what got them to think it was based on Breaking Bad. But from your synopsis, it doesn't seem like it.
