I think the fans of other actresses are very insecure of the volley of praises that are heaped upon sonakshi for her nuanced portrayal as the lovelorn pakhi.But the fact remains,she deserved every bit of it.It was pathetic ,how she got ignored at every major award ceremonies for her act was way superior than the loud and schmaltzy performance of deepika as leela.She was sheer magic.Her expressions were perfect,dialogue delivery was impeccable.Those eyes still haunt me and its been a year I have seen the film.Generally,no film and performance lingers in my mind for such a long time.Am hardly touched by any performance from an actress apart from that of rani's but Sonakshi swept me off my feet.I had never seen something like that before.
PS: My heart bleeds to see audience flocking the cinema halls to watch humshakals .The same people will call lootera boring.Why do I have to live with these people under the same sky? :( ..

Looking down upon people to this extent for there choices of movies is disgusting.
I think one major reason for many of this forum to dislike lootera is cocky members like you who think that they are better and superior to other just because of the genre of movie they like, and justifying some people inability to see lootera as "masterpiece" because of their class, background, or education.
People like you should realize that the world does not revolve around them and what they feel about movies, each person have his own opinion.. if you see lootera the best, some people doesn't , if you see Sonakshi the best, some people doesn't, Full Stop.
