Ranveer Singh. My first impression was "Iss Spotboy ko hero kaun bana diya?". 😆
But now i am his fan , i watched one of the crappiest movie ever "Ram leela" just for his acting. 😆

Not surprised that Katrina became the biggest female super star because before joining films, she was a super successful model, the biggest in the business, who got featured on fashion magazines which wasn't a normal thing back then, people even then had a big interest in her but in her early films she struggled a lot but was noticed by several industry people, she finally got her big break with Namastey London and after that film it was clear that a super star has arrived.

Stardom to me is not dependent on talent. You just have to have something that appeals to a wide swath of people like dancing, entertaining personality, looks, body, a beautiful face, eloquent speech and so on. I can attempt to explain many people's stardom that are unlikely because it has made sense to me. I may not think they deserve it, but I can get why they are a star. Except one person.

Rajnikanth.

I cannot explain his stardom and it is mega and enduring He is not good looking, even his most ardent fans will not disagree if you say he cannot act, he is not eloquent, he does not even wear a wig when he goes out and about, his dancing skills are not existent, body what body ? His onscreen persona will look ridiculous on any other actor and yet it works for him.

His stardom is huge. Generations of people from the same family love him, they pray for him doing penance like carrying fire pots or eating mud rice, they demand he join politics. The loyalty he has is awe inspiring to me. People have compared him to Bachchan Sr. Well I can explain Amitji's popularity, I can never understand the appeal of Rajnikanth. Ever.
