Salman and Akshay have proved that the older lot of actors is STAYING!

Sometimes I believed it, but in the last few weeks,(looking at 2014 only) I think the senior actors have made a point and proven something! ...Akshay's Holiday has taken the world by surprise by becoming a 100-crore film, I was one of the people who was 100% sure the movie would be a disaster!...and Salman's Kick has broken Youtube records. I think its safe to say that the older lot is not going anywhere and will continue to OWN!

I would request fans of the newbie actors to please have a seat and wait your turn, because it looks like its not happening for a while.

May b Holiday in final time score a HIT status, but it is just marginal, as this is not What Akshay Kumar is known for. HOLIDAY released on DOUBLE the scale of Rowdy Rathore, and it is finishing just way below the business of RR.

Only Good sign for Akki is that it is not Average or flop in major way otherwise his career would have taken a deep slide. Until and unless he gives a Big BlockBuster as per PRICE he sell his movies, he won't be in Big Game as KHANS are.

His next yr release Gabbar has the chance, If that is a success bigger than RR, then Akki is in GAME, if not He will be sandwiched between new stars & Khans.

Like I said in other thread, older stars usually bow out themselves or falter with failure to take care of health/looks or branch out in other ventures. No newbie suddenly kills them.

Let any new star give year's biggest hit and then talk of some new era or write obituaries for older stars.

You talking about FILMS which SCORED only because they were not in any competetion with BIG FILMS.

Ask Ranbir to release Barfi with ETT, YJHD with Dhoom 3 or even ask Arjun to release 2 states with Chennai Express... FORGET Genre and all, they all would have been washout after 1st week itself.

Khans target Festival period, these New stars n these kind of films know it, they Release it when they don't have BIG films, Audience doesn't have any choice, they watch those films & they score BIG.

If u gonna ask Older Gen 2 give BIg Hits in Diff Genre, ask Smaller Gen 2 even release 1 FILM with any BIG STAR & then score a 100 cr 😛

I would say I like Ranbir equally as much as much as SRK and Salman and Ranveer is right up there. Ranbir and Ranveer have all earned their place because I am super critical of any actor, I judge them harshly and am on the side of too much criticism because I pay to see these people and I make no apologies for how harsh I am.

But where Salman and SRK have the edge over everyone else is because of how loyal I am to them. And that is mostly because of nostalgia and the times I have spent with family and friends watching their movies. Their movies are more than movies for me, they are memories. I would never accept a JTJH or Ra one from anyone else and still pay to go for his movie but SRK. No one but a Salman can make me step into a theater after a Dabaang. I am always aware of how bad their movies can be, I always bitch about that. But I still go paying money while I will drop everyone else. Until there are people like me, the Khans will have to retire to disappear.
