Kajol was no. 1 only during time of DDLJ and KKHH! In 2006, even though she had Fanna but no way it was highest grosser...

Since when are high grossing films the requirement to be number-1? It needs to be a combination of the movie being a success and the actress having a strong role in.

I personally go by the awards winners - they usually choose the best performance in a successful hit movie.

Last year Dhoom3 was number 1 but it's Deepika who is called number 1. Kahaani wasn't the biggest hit in 2012- but it was still Vidyas year



Wasn't Gadar the biggest hit in 2002? I don't recall anyone calling Amisha the "number 1 heroine" so I disagree disagree with you. There are many other factors than box office that make someone number 1

For Kajol and Maduri..boxiffice India put Maduri on the no. 1 spot I don't know which film did better. But it seems like DDLJ did do better..I guess maybe because Raja was with a not so popular hero and DDLJ had Srk..who knows why Maduri was no. 1. Maybe Maduri was paid more or talked about more for Raja.

I thought katrina was number 1 in 2011 and 2012

But does not matter as today kajol is a bigger star than madhuri. People are more curios to see her on big screen than Madz and her DDLJ remains iconic

2010 should have been Katrina's year not Kareena. While Bebo was good in G3..Katrina in Rajneeti was much better in my opinion. But Anu had BBB that year and she was better than both of them. So Anu should have been no. 1 in 2010 instead of Kareena with G3. Vidya did have Ishqiya that year but Anu was much better than Vidya too. Plus BBB did much better than Ishqiya at the boxoffice.
