You are agreeing???😲 The Khan fans wrote off Ranbir Kapoor after the BESHARAM fiasco although he had tons of successful movies and tons of critical acclaim...Alia is not a Khan...2 bad movies and she will be out...thats why its important to see how she does in the next few years instead of giving popmpous statements like she will be the next # one in three years😆

We cant really compare the career of an actor with an actress in BW . Kareena is almost over, PC,kat might follow her next .Alia and the younger actresses have a clear field TBH

Na, can't see anything stopping Alia if she continues to select good films. Anu, DP etc didn't gain much as they got their first big hit with a superstar, but 2 States success had put Alia in limelight. Moreover she's getting praised for her performances which didn't happen so early for current senior heroines except Bebo.

and I absolutely hate people putting newbies on chane ka jhaad...as if calling her Mertl Streep and what not was bad enough...u guys have made her the next # ! and that also in next 3 years🤪...This is BW we are talking about...not a Govt job where u will get promotions at a fixed time...no matter what😆...and don't get me wrong...I really have started liking Alia...but lets keep it real😛

At least we are having film related discussion. 😊 Bored of fanfights and stuff. We know heroines have a shorter shelf life in BW so its not that hard to predict. Alia doesn't have much competition from her generation except for Pari. Even she's closer to the age of DP & Anushaka than Alia.

On Topic: I'm not an Alia fan but I do think she will be the number 1 actress in the future. I don't think it'll be sooner than 3 years though because to be number 1, one needs to work with the Khans/Hrithik etc. Which I don't think will happen with Alia as she looks young enough to be their daughter.

Yet to finish any movie of Aloo ka Chaloo. Can't say anything.

About people commenting she'd reach the climax within 3 years. I hope she doesn't. No girl in BW stays on top for more than 2-3 years.. & then the fall after that is not gradual.. the other side of the mountain is steep.

she already is😆 biggest plus for her - AGE.

everyone is a child in the begining, later grow up - say matured.

she plays her cards well, i reckon she can become a madhuri or sridevi.

her childish antics, does have that sex appeal, she looks great in both western and indian get ups, she is SLIM, she has that much needed oomph, jhatak matak..loved her spunk in that radha song. acting will come. who ever thought that models ash, pc, lara's, bips, etc will be called actresses.

But DP has only worked with SRK. OSO was 7 years ago and her top status was due to 5 back to back hits starting from Cocktail. Granted CE played a role too, but that was because she had a meaty role in the film. She'd still be considered in that league with RL, YJHD and Cocktail without working with Aamir, Hrithik and Sallu. Also lets not forget Kareena's downfall started after back to back films with Khans. Bodyguard and Ra One didn't do anything for her career. You also need to get noticed which happens rarely opposite Khans.

See ...if u had said that u see Alia as the next numero uno...that would have been fine with me...but u have put a lime limit of 3 years there...First of all...kat and DP are not going anywhere in the next 3 years😆...and how can u be so sure?...to be number 1 in the next 3 years...Alia will have to give huge hits in the next 2 years...huge hits like Kat and DP gave...So far Alia has 2 HITs...She got critical acclaim for Highway...but to be #1...critical acclaim doesn't matter...only huge hits do...so to say that Alia will be the next # 1 based on just one HIT is ridiculous IN MY OPINION...because SOTY did nothing for Alia...😛

She is young, "conventionally" pretty, has enough connections to be given half a dozen chances even if her next three films turn out to be BO duds.. And the critics are now giving her decent reviews too ..

Dunno about the time frame of "three years" or how long she will remain "No. 1" even if she gets there .. But I think she will have a pretty good career ..

TBH , It is only after watched 2 States that I started liking her as an actress .. Before that I just liked her off-screen

I thought she was blah in SOTY and I havent watched Highway.
