Never heard of a freaking surgery to get a lighter skin...but whatever process it was...It is Kajol's body...her life...her wish...she wants to be fairer...she has the means to do it...she should get it done or already did it...why should people not be allowed to make choices about their own body whether its lightening of the skin...correcting nose...getting some fat removed...whatever...I don't understand why people have to be judged on that...

Us South-Asians need to learn to embrace dark skin. Skin colour does not determine how beautiful you are, features do.

Rani Mukherji, Namrata Shirodkar, Deepika, Aamina Sheikh (Pakistani actress), are in my opinion amongst the few very beautiful actresses. They all have dark skin and are stunning.

It's sad people think skin colour makes you pretty. Personally I think an even skin tone and good features make you pretty.

Also, the male actors should be called out on skin lightening as well. Amitabh Bachchan and SRK look lighter than they did when they started out.

This article doesn't even make sense. How does one undergo skin melanin surgery? And why would Kajol suddenly do it now long after her career has peaked?

Is there any surgery to look fair? I think its makeup.

This is true.

Freida is considered a beauty in the west. In Bollywood she would have been put down for her dark skin.
