Some points here I picked up.

- Looks wise.. its subjective def. My wife like Ajay devgan more that HR look wise, no kidding. 😆 But we get wider view, HR- Salman r 2 of hottest names around in India.. Greek God, sexiest man etc.. polls notwithstanding. HR has a plus in his height and he can be bulky and lean as per his wish and role demands. Not many have that.

Dance- some1 said that was his biggest point but now many actors dances well. Well, None has the persona or aura, facial expressions and making hardest steps look easier. Prabhudeva is much better dancer than him but not only looks, personality but his facial exp. r so weird. Sometimes u gotta know the diff. atrobates, gymnestics etc... to dance!

Plus some of his biggest and acclaimed films he didnt or hardly danced. Fiza, MK, JA, Agnipath, ANMD (saniorita wasnt really HR type of dance).. so its not as if his fans go to watch his dance moves only. Other superstars play themselves more even, signature style shirt utarna, bahein failana, huklana, sity bajao dialog marna... over n over again and again. Dance is just huge BONUS for HR, if he needs it he can use it, if not, forget it.

Acting- The list is long althou he only did 20 movies, unlike some superstars who have to count their best perf. in last 25 years in how many movies. How many HR has been nominated in best categories.. find out. How many bad critics reviews he got comapred might good reviews.

- HR is superstar but Hr fans never claimed hez bigger superstar than Khans. He gets the biggest offers in BW by big banners and he has guts to say no to many of them. He charges like a superstar wud. Roles r being written keeping him in mind.

- HR is versatile but he has yet to prove he make an out n out comedy movie a hit

- HR is not lazy or lack the motivation, he gives more than 100% to his projects, its just he made so few movies post KMG when he was on upper curve.. he takes a long breaks inbwtween movies and it is kinda disapp. for Hr fans like me. Hez not in No. games... or money minded.

-My son and nephews n niece r HR fans, me n big bro too, my parents like him a lot. Not saying evey1 likes him, just saying he can appeal to kids to grown ups to elders- male n females.

-Why hez not biggest star then? Well, lets say hez just on the way, BB, Ashu's next, Home production, K4.. following Agnipath, K3... hmmm, they guy is just 40 and thats when either u r finished or crawling along or good years ahead.

Wow this was long 😆

Hrithik won an award for Kaho na pyaar hai and dhoom and that was unfair. The movie I feel he deserved the award for was jodha Akbar.

In 2003, Salman deserved it for tere naam more than anyone else.

In 2006, Aamir deserved it for Rang De Basanti.

It's sad that many other actors who deserved the awards did got it. Now honestly if Hrithik could get flimfare for dhoom and Kaho na pyaar hai then Salman should had gotten for his movie Maine Pyaar Kiya and Pyaar Kiya toh darna kya as well. Aamir deserved it for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi or SRK deserved it for Main Hoon Na and Veer Zara.

Anyways three movies I really feel salman deserved an award for were, HDDCS, Tere Naam, and Dabbang

I don't know if dance is such a huge criterion as it used to be back in the day, unless its a SLB movie of course.
Used to find him hot before, like most girls, over buffed up body ruined that for me, its affected his dancing too, can't look past how unattractive it appears in Senorita.
I think his forte is action (have higher regard for him in Dhoom 2 after seeing Aamir botch it up royally in D3) and period drama (Shuddhi hype was riding on his shoulders before he backed out). Its easy to completely rule him out as an actor (admittedly I did after watching Guzaarish and many other disasters) and find him dispensable but most actors have limits and if he sticks to his strengths more, the chance is still there to build a respectful filmography. Right now he's resting on his accumulated star power and his niches.
The only performances I have liked wholeheartedly of his are, JA, Luck By Chance, Lakhsya (have yet to see Agneepath).
