Also, what's the point in mocking her uni-brow? It's her face, her life, her choice. Why are people trying to dictate how she should or shouldn't live her life. Every person has their own choices they live by. I don't see how her 'uni-brow' has any relation with her career whatsoever. Why does anyone need to pluck their eyebrows? Some people might be comfortable with their eyebrow shape so they don't do it i.e. Kajol. If people have such a huge issue with it, don't watch her movies😊.

she is damn overrated and she gets filmfare awards always since the editor j pillai loves her..even she got the best actress for mnik and k3g only in filmfare..other awards went to tabu and vidya in the respective years...they r biased towards her

For me, Her Confidence!! for some may term it as loud, arrogant personality. I see her as one immensely confident person.

be it her childhood photo or any other, her personality reflects how confident she is. Her movies reflects her confident acting. Her look or skin tone [coz that matters in BW] never was a hurdle in her success. She shined through all.

to act in negative role when you are like new comer in industry. to take challenges when you have just started and that also with confidence. Only Kajol stands out for me.

her life decisions reflects how sure she was to get married when at top of her game, at age of 24. Actresses worry about success, career. She did what she felt right.

while some may say, she is doormat, being in relationship where her husband cheats. That's a debatable scenario.

but I still find her, way more real and on your face person. I am mostly amazed by her. The way she has come so far, always makes me wonder when I see her colleagues who she started with.

her vivacious nature always fascinates me on acting and on personal front.

The successes might be just 3 but they are surprising for a married actress with kids, because we have seen actresses getting ignored even if they are not married but are nearing 30!

Yeah I partly agree that she bagged major roles even after her marriage...but out of her 8 full fledged movies post her marriage only 2 movies (k3g and fanaa) got commercially success...isn't MNIK a flop??(what a torture movie)

Again how she bagged so many roles depends on various factors Like..the backup of ajay,Karan,srk and family contacts...and who knows even adi should have offered the fanna role to others before kajol...we never know what happens parde ke peeche...but there is no such special abt her like u mentioned...

Even sridevi got her success with EV..it doesn't mean she is special so she got the role..it just clicked with audience..

1. Kajol has an amazing screen presence

2. She was lucky to have been a part of SRK's big hits, any other average actress would have also gotten similar fame if she was a part of DDLJ, KKHH etc. People love SRK-Kajol pair because of DDLJ and hence, they were repeated

3. Kajol didn't wait until she turned 30 or until film offers started to decline for her to leave the film industry .. she married and took a sabbatical at the peak of her career. so no one ever saw her decline which would have been inevitable.

TM, you forgot she was also offered 3 Idiots, which she eventually turned down. 😆

But yes, she is the only one of her contemporaries who's gotten the "big" films after marriage and kids..and been the first choice too. I think she was smart in some ways. She left before the audience could tell her we don't want to see you anymore, so there was always a demand for her comeback because people hadn't been given the chance to get bored of her. She didn't overexpose herself in that time period. Rejecting KANK was probably the smartest thing she did for her career, despite all pressure from BFF"s Karan and SRK.

I think, though, she was also lucky that back in the 2000's, Khans weren't as money-minded or obsessed with being young and working with only the younger starlets. Now they are, and there's no space for the actresses who they became stars with in the first place in their films. ...so now until their films stop working, they're unlikely to go back to the 90's heroines.

She was the most liked actress of her generation for various reasons-acting, doing what she wanted to do and breaking set conventions, pairing with SRK. I dont think there has been another actress like her who could leave it all at her peak to follow her heart. Her appeal started from the 1990s and lasted till MNIK days ie 2010.
