Why didn't the Amazing Spiderman 2 rock like before?

Tobey Maguire was the best spider man ever. It's very hard to replace him. (If we could all pretend the third movie didn't happen.)

This seems more of a teen flick than a super hero movie that I can take seriously.

But Andrew and Emma have some explosive chemistry. So in that sense it's great but as a super hero movie, not so much.

Well I loved TASM2. Infact the Amazing Spiderman series is much better than the original trilogy as its much true to its root. But still it was just too soon to reboot the Spiderman. So I am not surprised to see interest going down as franchise fatigue has seeped in. I would put all the blame on Sony for its poor performance. And yeah I just hope Marvel somehow take back the right of Spidey from Sony.

Spiderman, Superman, Batman and few other super hero movies are like Masala movies of HollyWood, they keep remaking the same old shite and people keep watching them by breaking the movies own records😆
