The Khan brothers, Salman and Sohail, obviously believe in doing the same things. This includes striking a similar pose while being clicked. The brothers always stand with their hands tucked firmly into their pockets. Wonder if Arbaaz also makes a similar statement?
'Loo'ney tunes!
When you're a superstar, you're bound to have eccentricities. And so we've discovered that King Khan never switches his cell phone off. Nothing unusual in that, except that when he's sleeping he keeps his mobile in the loo. Uh? You heard that right.
Since he can't turn it off and doesn't like putting it on silent mode either (that could still disturb him while napping), his mobile has found its pride of place in SRK's enameled bathroom. And whenever he visits, he checks up on missed calls and messages at all hours of the morning.
So if you've ever received a message from him at an unearthly hour, you now know why. He's probably on his bathroom break!
Bipasha's Canadian holiday
After a gruelling last few months, Bipasha Basu is off to Toronto. She's going there to be with boyfriend John Abraham for the screening of his next release, Kabul Express. Sweet.
Talking to us on her stopover in London, Basu says, "I'll take a break for the next 10 days in Toronto and return on September 17. The last few months have been very hectic, even when I haven't been shooting. So I'm going to chill, shop a lot and eat to my heart's content!"
But there's this buzz doing the rounds that she's lost even more weight recently. "Rubbish!" she laughs. "On the contrary, I've put on weight. I have been gorging on Bengali sweets, and now muffins while in London, and I'm sure I will put on more weight on by the time I return."
She's also taking her time and being selective in choosing scripts. "There's Abbas-Mastan's Mr Fraud, and another one with Saif Ali Khan and Fardeen, being produced by Tips."
Johny bravo Talking about John, the buzz doing the rounds at the Toronto Film Festival is that he's been getting rave reviews for his performance in Kabul Express (he was there last year to promote Deepa Mehta's Water and got a great response).
So much so, that several international filmmakers are showing interest in him as a crossover star. We hear agents are pursuing him and he's keeping everyone guessing about his next move.
Not too long ago, John proclaimed that he'd much rather make a mark in Bollywood rather than be enticed by the golden sands of Hollywood. But there's no harm in testing the waters, right?
We kid you not!
'I am the kid your parents warned you about!' Give him an occasion and Viveik Oberoi just loves to make a statement: fashion, politics or otherwise.
But the Oberoi boy should realise that this message doesn't go well with his carefully built up 'caring-sharing' image. We'd rather see this statement on the Deadly Dutt or the super-brat Khan.
Vivs darling, we think you should stick to wearing toon characters, eh baby?
Baby No 2 for Farhan, Adhuna
We spotted a glowing Adhuna Akhtar in Bandra the other day and her bump was clearly showing. Yes, the stork is visiting the Akhtars for the second time.
For director hubby Farhan, it will be his film Don followed by his newborn!
The couple's first-born is a daughter called Shakya. So there's certainly lots to rejoice for the Akhtars in the coming months, both on the home and the work front! |
