MUMBAI: FC Barcelona, the Spanish football club, has named cine star Ranbir Kapoor as its Indian brand ambassador. Kapoor, whose FCB deal is non-commercial, will be involved in growing the sport as well as the club in India. FCB will announce the deal with the 29-year-old actor next month.

What the boogers? Theek hain so they made him their brand ambassador...question is: WHY? I searched the web...but it seems Ranbir is their first and only brand ambassador. There are no other celebrities named their brand ambassador. So who the hell invited him and why make him their brand ambassador? Couldn't they get JLO or much easier Shakira onboard? She is already promoting it because of her boyfriend...so it would make much more sense if she became their brand ambassador. Instead this club took 1 celebrity named Ranbir Kapoor...yes in Barcelona and Spain they are still wondering: WHO?

On a more serious note...I'm sure he paid them. Football clubs in general don't have celebrity endorsers. They got sponsers like Etihad and Philips...sometimes celebrities who are ambassadors of the sponsers get invited to the matches. However Booger Boy got directly named their brand ambassador...so it's not about him being an ambassador of one of their sponsors. How sad that he pays them to flirt with Messi 😲

I told you HE PAID them. I'm sure he managed to write them a letter or one of his managers contacted Barcelona. You can hear how they have no idea who he is as they had to check his facebook page 😆

As for the first video, Barcelona often have foreign celebrities come and meet the players during training. It doesn't actually mean anything. Even Justin Beiber got to train with us. I doubt he even watches us.

I love how Ranbir is a fan. I think his love for Barcelona, and Messi is something that other Barcelona fans absolutely connect with and appreciate. He is a cule, he is one of us. Glad he gets to be our brand ambassador. Barcelona hasn't said anything about its ambassadors but last season during one of the most important clasicos, Barcelona invited their important (read famous) football fans. Those fans got a lot of press (it also gives Barcelona a lot of press) and Ranbir was one of those people.
