Aamir Snubs Kangana

Aamir Khan, the perfectionist actor-turned-director who had a resounding success with his Taare Zameen Par, snubbed the gorgeous starlet Kangana Ranaut at a function recently.

Kangana Ranaut, who rushed to greet the actor after spotting him at the venue, got only a dismissive response from him. The lady became furious at this attitude of the perfectionist Khan and returned to her friends murmuring what the hell Aamir thinks of himself.'

The sources present on the occasion say that Kangana Ranaut was very excited and rattled off the names of several of Aamir Khan's films, which she had seen and immensely liked, but his response was limited to single words like okay'. Not only this, Aamir Khan even ignored her and continued with the conversation that he was having with some other guests at the time.

The buzz doing the rounds is that Aamir Khan's strange behaviour with Kangana Ranaut was the result of Kangana's overenthusiastic attitude during the time of casting for Ghajini' remake. At the time of selecting the female lead for the remake, Aamir Khan was seriously considering Kangana for the lead role and talks were in final stages. But Kangana Ranaut could not keep this secret till the time of finalization of the cast by Aamir and hence was ousted from the project.

As everybody knows in the Industry that Aamir Khan never wanted anybody to know about real casting for the movie till he finalized and announced it on his own end. Kangana, being new to the way of bollywood and Aamir Khan's style of working, could not maintain this secrecy and the information leaked in the media. Aamir was terribly upset about this and perhaps the strange behaviour at the function was his way of getting even with the Gangster' star.

But another school views the cold behaviour of Aamir Khan as a proof of his vindictive nature and arrogance in the industry. Recently, Aamir was also in controversy with Big B over Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Black.' Aamir Khan's unwarranted comments had hurt the sentiments of Amitabh Bachchan and the two fought the war in media about their films Black' and Lagaan'.

Perhaps Aamir's arrogance has further increased with the great success and critical acclaim that he received from the success of Taare Zameen Par' at the box office.

Okay then. Let's not compare a child. If I was being victimized in a work-environment (and technically I am an adult) and you were in my class, would you not want me to raise my voice against what I was facing?

Would you not think that awareness of this issue is not necessary if not essential?

Kangana is one of the few actresses who has the balls to speak about what the industry is really like. No A-lister, especially an actress does that. And I'm glad that she's doing it. She moved out when she was only 16 and yes, she's made some very poor choices but I think it's too simplistic to say "suck it up" because you're at an age where you should be mature.

If you were victimized at work, call the hotline. 😆

Anyways, I think success is making Kangana take out her frustration. She sure isn't being mature if she keeps on venting about being victimized, for like the 90x. She screwed up many times.

She is being mature. If she wanted to be immature, she could've taken names and list everything bad thing that happened to her since entering the industry.

Yes Kangana has screwed up, but she also owns up to her mistakes. Admits that she made mistakes.

And as for the venting, she isn't necessarily venting as much as she's letting the world know about the victimization women face in the bwood industry. There's a veil over most people's eyes when it comes to bwood. The reality is not as amazing as everyone thinks it to be. And I'm glad she's actually taking initiatives to talk about it and start potential discussions on it.

It's good that she's not taking the domination and actually speaking out against it.

This forum is very funny just because you are successful you are expected to forget everything that happened to you. Being successful is not a "superpower". You have your up's and down's as well. These are people just like us. They will talk about things they care about. It's too cynical to assume they are playing a broken record for the sake of media. Kangana felt victimized and I'm glad she is speaking out about it! Just because she is "successful" she should forget and keep her mouth shut about everything that happened in the past. Really now.

We complain about DP using RK in interviews or Arjun talking about his Mom. What do you expect them to talk about?! It can't be all sunshine and daisies. They speak about their own experiences just like we all do in real life. We all repeat the same stories yet the rules seem to be different for actors. They are "successful" so the past has to be erased. Emotions?! What emotions. They should be reveling in that success.

If they are diplomatic then uh oh they are being too diplomatic. If they are honest then we make fun of them. What do we expect them to be?!? 😕

When someone talks against about discrimination, one should support that person. Not tell that person to suck up, no wonder nothing comes out because no one wants to fight. Then keep on crying, to change you have to fight. Nothing in this world comes without a fight.

Kangana has every right to talk about the discrimination she faced in BW. At least she is talking about the right cause and not making her victim of love affair gone wrong.

BW is a male dominated industry, where only handful of women has managed domination over men.

I have liked Kangana since her debut but never got the chance to talk about her on IF, since she was discussed very less.

Besides, she always gave full credit to the original writer, but her creative input was quite brilliant as we have all seen the final product. And honestly, if someone if candid then they're criticized and if they're diplomatic they're boring/fake. So I guess it's never a win-win for anyone, eepcially a woman working in BW.

Well said!! There are always double standards everywhere 😳

As much as I like Kangna and very happy for her recent success..she have started to sound the same cribbing girl and bullied in all her interviews..yeah most people who are not big star kids struggle in bollywood...forget bollywood even in real life most of people keep struggling...so enjoy the success..moved ahead and concentrate on acting rather than cribbing in all your interviews
