Blocking advance dates to stave off competition only works if you are a Big Khan. Otherwise, no matter how early you block your dates someone like Aamir or SRK will come and blow you out with the snap of a finger.

They kind of will. HNY releases on Diwali, so around 23rd October which is Diwali according to google. Bang Bang releases the following week, in the first week of November.
