What makes you think he isn't doing charity on his part as well? This causes more social awareness as well and one more person ends up getting help. Gosh some people find negatives in everything. Salman also took part though he's helping many through his foundation.

I'm not saying he doesn't do charity..I'm saying why ask for people who earn less than him when he himself could have paid for that person's treatment?

I guess its an initiative where different celebs take up random jobs and contribute whatever they earn for charity..Because its a celeb doing the job, more ppl will come forward & contribute and it must be a meager amount..Its similar to celebs auctioning their clothes or stuff for charity..I don see anything wrong with this tbh..

Because this is a fund-raising event and this is how celebs the world over solicit funds and donations for a worthy cause. LArge number of telethons and benefit concerts are organized every year with the sole purpose of collecting money after natural and man-made disasters like 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, Indian Ocean tsunami, Haiti earthquake. People pay money to talk to the celebs or to hear their music and more importantly, raise awareness about the situation in the general public's mind. I am sure all those in the audience are considerably poorer than the celebs in question.
The Ranbir vadda-pav event, as well as the other events associated with this program, has similar purpose - to raise money as well as awareness..It has nothing to do with how much one can afford

You could always help one more. People who can afford are only giving it. I know he is associated with save girl child movement and donates money. There are many cancer patients and shows like this and lift kara de does a purpose. We don't know how many he has helped on his own so far. Even his he pays for one, there will be many others in line who needs help. So such shows are always helpful and spreads social awareness as well.
