Yash Chopra wrote almost all scripts thinking Sridevi in mind. Darr, Dil To Pagal Hai, even Hema Malini's role was supposed to be played by Sridevi in Veer-Zaara.

She rejected Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna but did Kjo's next My Name is Khan where her role was more of a substantial supporting lead.

It is said that Aishwarya has more chemistry with Sanjay Leela Bhansali than her co-stars in his films. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam made her an overnight superstar in India and Devdas made her an overnight international superstar. Both films were directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. They returned back with Guzaarish. Although the film was commercially a flop but got rave reviews from critics. He wanted to make Bajirao-Mastani with Aishwarya but she rejected.

This combo fails to give successful films apart from K3G. All of their films apart from K3G and a below average Ek Main Aur Ek Tu were disasters.

Rani was considered resident heroine of YRF camp for few years. It was Aditya Chopra who gave her a role in Yash Chopra's Veer-Zaara. She also dis numerous YRF films. Recently she is doing his 'Mardani'.
Aishwarya Rai-Mani Ratnam
Aishwarya was launched in film industry by Mani Ratnam. His political drama film Iruvar which is considered a cult classic in Tamil cinema is the first film of Aishwarya. She was supposed to do Mani's Roja and Bombay but she said in interview that she was busy in pageant that time. So she couldn't do those films. Mani Ratnam did Guru with her again which was a superhit and his only successful Hindi film so far. He also did his immediate next film Raavan (Hindi) and Raavanan (Tamil) with her. While Tamil film Raavanan was a hit and got generally positive reviews the Hindi version of the film Raavan was trashed by critics and it was a flop. Mani Ratnam is again making a film with Aishwarya in Tamil and Telugu with South superstars Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna.
