Last week, when renowned food blogger (name withheld on request) walked into a ladies room of a 5-star hotel in the suburbs, little did she expect to find herself in the centre of a storm. Moments later, when she was ready to leave, Deepika Padukone walked in with her entourage. That's normal, most girls go to the loo in pairs. What wasn't normal was that her male security personnel also walked into the washroom with her. This made everyone present uncomfortable.
What followed was worse. When she tried to walk out, she was stopped. The blogger took to a social networking site to vent her ire saying, "One of Deepika's minion' actually held her door closed so she could not get out."
It was some time before she managed to get out. When she talked about the incident on Twitter, she was trolled and abused by the actresses' fans. She deleted her previous tweets saying, "Deleted tweet from cpl of days ago on a certain celeb. Too much dirtiness and trolling coming my way."
We tried getting in touch with the food blogger, but she remained unavailable for comment. A source close to her said, "A momentary incident was blown out of proportion. Even the tweets had to be taken off because of the backlash when she was not even at fault. The incident that took place perhaps for a few seconds only, disturbed her because what if it were a child in there. It was the entourage, I don't think Deepika was even aware that this happened."
