I guess this writer didn't give enough credit to Alia.. or may be criticized her performance in Highway... This one is kind of... uh... penance.

I do agree with this post. SOTY was a terrible movie and I thought here comes another star brat with no talent handed a career she does not deserve. Then came Highway where she completely changed what I thought about her. Yes, Javed Akhtar and the other celebs who compared her to Meryl Streep 😒 are ridiculous, BUT Alia did do a very good job in Highway.

What I like about her is that she has the desire to do good work, she need not have chosen a Highway for a second film. That shows the direction she wants to take and I place a tremendous premium on that. I don't think she is uber talented, not like a Ranbir level blow out talent, but it took Deepika, Sonakshi many films and years to impress me and I did not dislike them in their first film. I disliked Alia in her first film and she changed my opinion in the best way possible, through her work. I cannot ask anymore of an actor.

😆 Was that a dig at Parineeti?😆 Either ways, i think Alia is talented but its the overhype which is obviously annoying ppl..That said, i still think Parineeti is the more natural actress and she is not bad looking either..So i don get this whole ugly & talented actors stealing the star's thunder thing😕
