Ya. People make a big deal out of nothing. So what if people just don't like niggas, chinks, Mexicans, Jews, Muslims, fags whatever. It's a free country right? Who said you have to treat all humans equally.

Yeah this comment rubbed me the wrong way. He could have just been a bit more low key and diplomatic about it, something like someone above said, "Ranveer's hot but nah, I like girls way too much!" That sort of thing. It's light, harmless and gets the message across. Also, it really irks me because he was very happy to play up the bromance with Ranveer on Koffee with Karan, film promotions etc, in fact on KWK he was thrilled to joke that he'd kill Deepika cos she stole Ranveer from him and make all those types of jokes, but now it's suddenly "pathetic" to be linked with Ranveer? That's just cheap and makes me give him the side-eye and doubt his sincerity.

It also does the gay community in India no favours to have those sort of words thrown about. I dont think Arjun is homophobic, just he should realise he's in a position where these words can be harmful to a minority that's struggling to be accepted.

Sorry to jump in but I think you're missing the point. It's one thing to not believe in homosexuality but it's a whole other to be anti-something. One is more passive and the other is taking a strong, active stance on something. Usually when ppl say I'm against homosexuality or same-sex marriage they're taking a stance and saying that certain section of the population doesn't deserve equality or the right to be happy. And I think you have to realize why ppl get to emotional when it comes to homosexual, especially b/c the gay rights movement started around the same time as women's equality and we're still debating over it when the answer is so clear and so logical and the majority of the world does believe in equality. Sorry if I ranted on, but I'm a strong propenent of it since my cousin came out to the whole family at age 37 that's she's a lesbian.

PS: Arjun is NOT anti-anything. His use of the word pathetic is being misterpreted. And like I said before it's a guy thing, not a homophobic thing. Knowing how Arjun is, there's not one ounce of me that thinks he's homophobic. He might not be as vocal about homosexual rights as Kalki but he's demeaning anyone.
