2014... politically correct society? My ass.

If I feel sick/pathetic in a chinese seafood market and say it.. I m racist, right?

If I dont like a party, and leave it soon, i m anti social right?

If I can be topless in my house in summer but wont allow my wife to do the same, I m sexist, right?

If i feel pathetic living in a violent neighbourhood with a particular comm. I m racist, right?

Duhhh, 2014 or 2114, ppl will always have their choices.. and their feelings. And they can express it for themselves without insulting another society. Arjun said it for himself how he felt.. and hez become homophobic? Why not sue him for what he said abt sri.. oh that cud be in ancient times.. we have moved on from that.

Arjun didnt say hez he hates gays.. but didnt like that he was linked to ranveer and not a woman. Its his feelings.

Just like a gay wud say.. I dont like to be linked with that woman.. I m gay. (and then all PC seculars will defend his statement) 😆 kya zamana hai yaar?

No his use of 'pathetic' was perfect...He didn't say being gay IS pathetic. He felt pathetic because there were no link ups with girls even though he is straight and seeing as his contemporaries are linked up with at least 1 girl it wold obviously make him wonder why he he doesn't have the qualities to be linked up with the actresses. He doesn't generalise to say gay people are pathetic as people in this forum are sugesting, just that it was pathetic he wasn't getting link up with girls even though he is straight...

god the hidden pain in which he talks about his broken family till date by being so vocal about his resentment towards sri...makes me break a little for him...if only he were strong enough to feel the dsame for boney but a father is a father after all.

I like him as an actor. He's hot. Disappointing to see his comments on being linked with Ranveer Singh. I understand the sentiments. Straight men feel awkward when linked with another man. They worry if they will still have the same charm with women. But, he could have phrased it in a better way. How he said it came off as homophobic. He could have been a sport about it and tried the humor approach. "Haha I'm flattered Ranveer is a catch. But I'm into ladies. I kept worrying if these rumors would drive away my gorgeous female fans. Haha. Wink Wink" That kind of thing.

On a side note. I believe parental consent is important for marriage. Not out of tradition, but parental approval is essential in healthy relationships. It is stressful to be in love with someone your parents cannot stand. You love them both and your life becomes a crazy balancing act. You feel perpetually torn. I also believe that if you are modern enough to have relationships, then when time comes you should follow through and marry them irrespective of parental approval. You should know better. If you know your parents will never consent to a relationship then you must not get into that relationship in the first place. I think it is wrong to lead someone on, be intimate with them and drop them like a hot potato when your parents object.

Agree with you!

Also the parental consent thing you mentioned is correct. At times we can be so emotionally involved with our BF/GF that we don't see the danger signs something which parents may be able to see. It gives you a more practical approach. Of course there are times when parents despite knowing that the girl or guy is actually good for their child will still object to it and that is where parents need to learn as well that their kids have a choice as well. Also what I find silly is when you end up going out and committing to someone who you very well know your parents will not approve yet still lead them on, which is extremely unfair. Either try to get approval from you parents before that you are allowed to get with someone who may not meet the parents ideal or try to avoid it. Or just marry them anyway, when you didn't care that your parents might not like them and still got involved then stick to your commitment.
