Take away the Kapoor tag, he'd still stand strong not because of anything else but his acting skills. So yeah, I feel he's a really good actor

I like the current phase of Bollywood unlike earlier when one Khan would reign for like a long period of time. Now it's based on the performance of the actor. Give good performances and be a superstar for that one year.
Ranbir did it with Barfi last to last year.
Ranveer did it last year.

It's no longer about the hits that you have. YJHD was a blockbuster but Ranbir hardly got the share of fandom and popularity that Ranveer received last year inspite of giving a box office failure like Lootera and a superhit Ram Leela which earned much lesser than YJHD.

As far as the Khans are concerned..they have disappeared for the time being..and that's such a nice thing!

For people bringing Ranveer into the discussion and feel the need to bring in Besharam to bring Ranbir down. Here's a fun fact for you:

Besharam opened with a 20 Cr first day!

That my friends is star power. Even Akshay hasn't had a 20 Cr opening day. Only the 3 Khans and Hrithik have had 20 Cr Day 1's. Ranbir is right there, or very close in terms of star power too.

Nadz 🤗Forgot to reply to your last PM...Will go do that right now 😆😆

But yea, agree with ya over here! He doesn't need the Kapoor tag. His acting abilities speak for himself. Sure the Kapoor tag might have helped him gain entry into the industry but after that I believe he has proved himself. And I prefer star kids like Ranbir wayyy over star kids like Sonam 😆😆

Ranbir is a fabulous actor no doubt. He is a natural performer, versatile and has had a string of hit movies but he is far from being "Iconic".
He was great in Barfi but for me Priyanka Chopra was the Star of that movie.
Ranbir has the talent and star power but he still has a long way to go.

Shiks baby 🤗

No fuss take your time :)

Yup, he's that one star kid who really knows what he's doing with his career and the only one I appreciate too. Plus the guy does not drag the mighty Kapoor name to brag either

well by that logic, even ranbir's bachna ae haseeno or anjaana anjaani are above average...

point is those films didnt do anything for ranbir...and neither did LVRB do anything for ranveer...
but that dosent mean either of them is a talentless hack...

@Bold: Oh gosh so true!! And so unlike Kareena who always brags about being a Kapoor and about how acting is in her genes.! One of the reasons I find her intolerable. But RK on the other hand is really humble like that.

What made you assume I was talking IF?
The press, the media attention, the popularity, the tv channels..everything had Ranveer. Whereas during YJHD, the attention was divided between Ranbir and Deepika or rather their coming together for a movie.

And I know what the REAL, BIGGER world is all about. You don't have to enlighten me.😊
