As for the question. No it was never offered to anyone but Aish. Kareena was screen tested for but SLB couldn't visualize her as Paro. Apparently he saw this passion or fire in Aish's eyes at some party and he knew he wanted that in his Paro. And she was casted. Then Kareena made those off-hand comments about how SLB wanted "an older actress" and how he can't direct. 😆

Paro was never offered to Madhuri nor to anyone else as far as i know.HDDCS was offered to Kajol but she didn't do it bcoz she didn't like the character.

I heard madhuri was pregnant during devdas, I don't know if she was ever offered paro

Salman Khan was Devdas and Aishwarya was Paro. SRK was approached later. Kareena wanted to be Paro so she dressed as Paro and landed at SLB's place and got embarrassed after rejection. Madhuri was always Chandramukhi.

I know, Aish was perfect for the role. I was sceptical on the rumour so thought I'd clear it up on IF. Kareena and Kajol woud have been misfits in HDDCS and Devdas.

Juhi could have easily pulled off Paro with her bubbly attitude and on-screen presence. She's already played an imbecile in movies like Andaaz and Hum Hain Raahi Pyaar Ke.

Sush could have done Chandramukhi.

Sonali Bendre for Paro.

Shilpa Shetty for Chandramukhi.

kareena was screen tested and was rejected. kareena could have killed as a paro. yes, maybe missed the dance steps here and there, but as for portraying paro...better than ash.

Abhay Deol for Devdas

Aishwarya was perfect as Paro. Kareena would never be the perfect Bhansali heroine. She lacks the innocence and feminine grace that most of his heroines possess.
