His second film actually opened better than his first, and also earned a lot more money. I think he was hyped up, He may have not had a grand debut like Hrithik, but people were certainly interested in him.

What are you talking about? Both Aamir and Salman won Best Debut in 1989 and 1990. Please check your facts . Aamir was the first person to win the award.

I think he is a decent actor and a decent singer... Not very iOS but just fair... I can't believe he won best singer over Sonu Nigam...
But yeah, he is not signing the right movies or maybe he isn't approached for the right movies... He is ordinary looking to me and comes across as some what arrogant... He surely doesn't have any godfather to guide him or give him some boost in getting new movies, but I don't see him going any further...

I was rather certain of my facts about chronology they seem to be right. I looked it up now,

Aamir made his debut as a child artist in Yaadon Ki Baarat. His adult debut was in Holi by Ketan Mehta. His third film, second adult was QSQT. Couldn't find a FF debut award mention for him.

Salman made his debut in Biwi Ho To Aisa in a supporting role. MPK was his main role debut and It does say he won the filmfare debut.. I got confused because a debut to me is when they actually you know make a debut, not when they become popular. Salman's is not up there with the Dhanush FF debut award which is given after 25 films or so🤔, but it is right up there.

Fardeen Khan is much better than those two. That guy had potential he chose to throw it all away. But I agree about Zayed, and Ayushman. Incidentally neither one of them are very likeable either.
