So like sona..I've been pretty vocal about Lootera being ignored at the awards and all..
I was checking out the nominations for iifa dis year n Lootera got only one for Sona..ignored in Best film , director actor music categories as well 😕
ok it may not be the best film..but one of the best at least! !! What were they thinking 😲
I honestly think Ranveer was way better in it than inRamLeela for which he is nominated btw..
They say it is the best reviewed movie of the year. .nicely done then 👏
it happens often in Bw..but this time I really hoped someone will change it..my bad 😕
What do you think?

Yeah...
Let's not get started on this again. I've said this since the day award seasons started.
Sad the film even got ignored at award despite being the most critically acclaimed film of 2013. Lunchbox was another example. Shows the credibility of the Indian Oscars
You see many people praising lootera on twitter now who ignored the film when it came out in cinemas.
Give it more time. It's the next Lamhe & Pyaasa in making. 😳
LOOTERA - one of the finest films in recent times which was ignored by award show.
And some people term Lootera as boring. Yet they ignore the fact it was a brilliantly preformed and shot film. But hey Lootera gave Sonakshi a chance to go to Broadway to perform in coming months. It established Ranveer and Sonakshi as actors. Being an complete arthouse film with no dancing behind the trees, lip syncing, commercial music or outlook. Much more than many hyped commercial films which with big opening, fails to make enough money.
Box Office won't matter in years time. It had cult classic written on it.
In fact not just Sonakshi. But Ranveer and many critics have stated this too.

I watch this film time and time again, this is one beautiful film. The songs, the acting, the direction, the cinematography everything about the movie is outstanding. Sonakshi Ranveer...man you both are so good in this film, Ranveer with that beard look, dishy or what! I liked BMB don't get me wrong but I find Lootera a lot more better, Sonakshi did win Zee Cine Award but still she could have got a few more. Ranveer was like an animal in Ram-Leela but in Lootera to play a character like that was commendable kasam se, you wouldn't think that's Ranveer Singh onscreen.

Lootera was indeed was one of the finest movies of 2013.
Just because it did not click at Box office it was completely ignored at award all functions 😡

To make you feel better
I couldn't stand R...Rajkumar film. Despite the fact I liked Shahid and songs in it. & Sonakshi being one of my favs.
When Lootera released. I went insane. I had sleepless nights and missed lectures coz of staying up late waiting for reviews a week before it released. I wanted this film to succeed both critically & commercially. But it was tough fight. BMB also came a week after. Taking all screens away.

Ya I don't want to get started on this again & again. I've just about calmed down.

It's horrific that a movie like Lootera has been ignored so blantantly at all the major award ceremonies. Just goes to show that it is infact, just a platform for people to buy awards n exchange for free dance moves!!! 😡

Calling it boring is fine but blaming screenplay and cinematography for the film's verdict then I'd say it's stupid.
Also FLOP status doesn't mean it's a terrible film.
Many classics today have had failed at their time of release. Whether Pyaasa, Lamhe, Silsila, Agneepath, Andaz Apna Apna. Swades or Arth
