Where Lootera is concerned, I feel for the whole cast, but most for Amit Trivedi.

The others at least got hailed. Ranveer was applauded everywhere for trying a different role. Sonakshi was hailed for actually doing a proper role for the first time and nailing it so well. She is even being approached by the Broadway folks. Motwane got a lot of critical acclaim and was praised by one and all. His next is being awaited now.

In comparison, I feel Amit Trivedi gained very little. Yes his work was liked by all but he didn't have PR to highlight his achievements in the film like the others. The songs are slow and different, like from a different era altogether, not the type which made the nation dance to their tunes and get rewarded at music award functions for being most popular and all. He wasn't nominated in a SINGLE award function. And it's not just about this film, I feel Amit has been largely ignored for some really outstanding work in other films too.

I am just hoping for some chamatkaar to happen and him to walk away with National Award for Lootera, the way it happened during Dev D. :D

I just love this film and the fact that its not like other conventional Bollywood films with dancing and lip sync on songs. Nevertheless I am happy that Sona won Zee awards, it deserved best film 2013 though.

Lootera was much better than most successful films made in 2013, but I do not think it is anywhere near a masterpiece. I feel bad when I say this because I wonder if I just feel this way because I didn't understand it or because I didn't connect with it.

I just hope this doesn't happen to Queen next year but I have no faith in BW awards, they are rigged.



Motwane is a fine director I really hope he keeps making beautiful films like Lootera and doesn't get discouraged by its outcome at the BO.

Dey shld atleast get a award for most ovrated movie

It deserved to be ignored! It was such a plain BORING movie! 🥱
the love story was half-baked.. it was not interesting at all!

Raanjhna was wayyy better than this being a sad story and it deserved all the praise!
