She really needs to stop doing JDJ .That show overexposed her a lot. Gulaab Gang trailers were so boring.I would have been surprised if that movie was a hit

OT yes Madhuri doesn't have the BO pull but which actress does? I dare Katrina and Deepika to make a women centric movie they will face the same faith as Madhuri. Until the audience changes their view on these films not much can be done, there will few lucky ones like Vidya but most women centric movies flop.

Actually no Bollywood actress has the BO pull much ..Vidya had it once during her Dirty Picture/Kahaani days ..but NOW lost. Her films even with a bigger star Farhan have flopped.

And it's stupid to expect superhits from Madhuri whose prime is now over .. even bigger actresses of nowadays like Deepika/Katrina/Kareena can't pull a movie on their own ...

and please, MAdhuri is the most talented perfrmer (not just a great dancer) parr excellence whose acting is way too natural, balanced, real, restrained that its hard to find such example in hindi cinema atleast... if your young minds cannot understand the layers and subtleness of her acting then its your or yours age fault, not MAdhuri;s ... Ok ppl Madhuri flopped but then why Juhi Chwala( who is called under-rated in this forum) couldn't make this film a hit? Simply because the script was blah. This story has been shown many times in shows like Crime Patrol on Sony etc...overdramatisation of the story did more harm than good!

Madhuri should select the script wisely. Anyways BW has very few good roles for actresses of Madhuri's age. Movies like EV are very rare. See even after sucess of EV,Sridevi is waiting for good movie...such roles are rare & difficult to come by for these middle aged actresses.

Madhuri is talented enough to have a parallel cinema career. Not every film needs to be a BO hit, not every actor needs to be a lead actor. We need a strong parallel cinema, good female roles, not flower pot ones. Who better than Madhuri and Juhi to spear head this ?

After certain time, BO actually shouldn't be the parameter to judge actors, any actor actually.

What should be more relevant is whether the actor concerned has kind of improved in his/ her art or has actually achieved some sort of perfection. Unfortunately, Indian cinema is way lagging in this area - where we hardly have original scripts. Everything is doubly, triply or horribly inspired.

Same applies to Madhuri as well - Dedh Ishqiya is a good movie with superlative performances to boot. Even before DI, not all Vishal Bharadwaj's movies were raking in moolah or being declared hits. So definitely this is not a parameter to base all performances on.

For Gulaab Gang, the tariler or story didn't isnpire me at all. Even if it was a hit, I wouldn't bring myself to the theatre and watch. It's just that there ain't much to grab from what was beign offered.

For Madhuri, the trick is now patience and not to take up anything and everything which resonates the word 'women'. A good story is the foundation of a good movie, so she should concentrate on the story part first.

In fact, given that she shares an awesome chemistry with SRK, I would love to watch both of them in a simple, mature love story - not the usual boy meets girl and again, and again.

Love happens at all ages and fights all barriers - so an interesting story is what is needed at this moment.

Also, most of the movies she did were more fun and frolic - but she did prove her mettle wherever she got the chance.

In fact, most of us are more un-forgiving towards the actors, rather than the industry which gauges our reactions and offers us 95 % c*** movies

Sri fans need to take a chill pill.

EV wasn't a 200 crore hit neither it opened huge. It was she who had to approach makers for the film. And she has still not got her second film after SUCCESSFUL comeback.

To those, who are saying Madhuri should go back, as per Forbes list, she is still earning 20 crores per year. She is ranked 6th or 7th among actresses. And Sri doesn't feature in top 100 even.

So, why should Madhuri stop working even if it's only for money. Who won't like to earn that much?

Besides, Madhuri's current inning won't affect her status as the Most successful Bollywood actress ever.
