What is so special about SRK & Kajol?

They do make good pair but since people say that they are best thing since sliced bread they are overrated..yeahh :D

Well, chemistry and special like beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😉 but I'll try to explain why I find them special.

Some of the couples I can think of with great chemistry all have generally acted in memorable films and/or have these great angsty love stories that are either pura, adhura or in the process of playing out in RL..

Kajol and SRK are not your typical lead actor material and are not in a romantic relationship. They are not good looking, their films together are not so great, the fashion and grooming was atrocious in most. Jaa Thi Hoon Mein and Baazigar O Baazigar for instance, she has a unibrow in both, the clothes eek, but still I love watching them because of the two of them. Anyone else it would not be the same for me anyway. They never had great directors, KJO had a lot of heart probably for his first film, but he is not a great director even today, but their chemistry makes his bumbling attempts, even the bad wig of Anjali in KKHH memorable.

For me SRK/Kajol are special because they bring the best out of each other for not a romantically involved couple and more importantly seem to have the ability and synchronicity be completely in the moment they share together and that creates chemistry.

I can best explain what I mean by a recent hug picture that is in some other thread.I am quoting myself here from another post about the hug picture..😛

"SRK always hugs people, but I have seen mostly half hugs and/or hugs with his eyes open. Sometimes he clenches his fists. If a picture is worth a thousand words. body language does not lie and speaks volumes, the way he has closed his eyes, has a little smile. clasped his hands fully around her and made a circle and brought her close to his heart shows to me that Kajol is someone who he is immensely comfortable with and has lots of affection for."

I will add there seems to be a level of trust and Kajol with her noisy and abrasive personality has managed to relax him completely and be in the moment with her in the midst of all the noise and chaos around them. There is nothing romantic in the hug, but there is comfort with each other, trust, friendship, affection and all that translates to chemistry on screen. Very few people, even couples in love have that ability and that is what makes them special to me.

No matter what the role is, no matter what film it is, no matter what director it it. Shahrukh and Kajol make their characters iconic with every film they make together. The so called "chemistry" is because they complement eachother so well, there personality on screen just clicks.

I think theyvare just soo comfortable with each other that no matter what the film is their magical chemistry stands out ❤️
best in da world. .
imo sallu Ash, hr ash, sashabebo, deepveer or even anuveer will come after that

I have never felt anything great about srk- kajol pair. I anyways find kajol highly overrated. Her best pairing is with srk. But srk's best pairing till date ,I feel, is with rani. Be it chalte chalte or even kkhh.

Whats so special abt them? Fans will always find something abt them appreciation worthy and those who dislike them will never get the point,..so its of no use really...neither party can convince each other "WHY"?
Similarly I cant ever get the big deal about SRK-Rani chemistry...I find them cold and boring onscreen...they can be cute bffs/siblings but when they try to be all passionate and sizzling,I dont get all bothered just sniffle a yawn...KANK,Paheli etc are good cure for insomnia..their movies never achieved cult status still they are termed as one of best onscreen pairings ever...So I find them overhyped...now again my reasons wud seem totally irrelevant to fans of that jodi..

Bottom line-Acting,chemistry etc are all subjective

Like we can also ask why AB Sr is considered legendary superstar? How Kat became female superstar even without acting chops? Whats so special abt Aamir Khan?

Ppl who adore them wil have 1000s of reasons...the minority who abhors them will find those reasons invalid and tag them overrated

I have a question too...Why IF BW section obsessed with SRK-Kajol,Ranbir and Kareena? 😆 these are ppl I care abt the most in BW and whenever I come here there is a topic dissecting them 😆..I m so lazy to defend them everyday and then I cant ignore the topics as well 😆.lool kidding...Not targeted at u OT,just put down a regular scenario I observed...anyhow rant over😛😆..carry on with the topic at hand haha
