Queen has garnered extremely positive reviews and all those who have seen the movie can't help but praise Kangana. Tellychakkar.com caught up with this adorable actress for a tete-a-tete.

Queen unfolds like a dream travel movie where the audience is visually treated with some really cool dream destinations. How much of a travel freak are you?

Well to be honest, before turning 30, I would like to live in different countries and places like a gypsy life just to get a sense and rhythm of life and sink in with that rhythm and understand life with my own perspective. I just don't want to get caught up in my own little comfortable world of being a movie star and would actually like to step out and be a part of the larger world.

In Queen, you travel to Europe all by yourself. In real life, how comfortable are you travelling to a foreign country all alone?

I am a very self-independent person. Even while I was studying film making in New York, I did everything on my own from cooking to my laundry and even travelling. And truth be told, I found it relaxing and enjoyable experience to stay and do all this things alone.

You like being alone'?

Absolutely. As an actor, you are constantly under the limelight. If you are walking on the road, people stare at you all the time. I was 17 when I started working. I have always been famous. I don't remember living on my own. There are people around me all the time that are doing various things. So there are times when I feel the need to be left alone and it is nice to be alone and be myself.

But movie-stars do love the whole aura of stardom, right?

I really don't know if I deserve this stardom. As a performer I don't want to limit myself. I want to grow and learn as much as I can.

Talk us through your experience of the film making course you did in New York?

It was an intense course. We had classes for almost 10 hours. But I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience of sitting in the classroom, listening to lectures, doing my homework. It was like going back to school again. Unfortunately, I had to leave it because I had to promote Queen. I am going back in June to complete the course.

You have co written the dialogues for Queen. Do you also intend to write an entire script in future?

I don't know if I want to write a script. I would love to write and direct but I don't know when that will happen. Also after doing this course, I have started looking at movies in a different perspective. I have a lot more clarity today, in terms of what I am doing.

Queen shows you as a very simple girl? How were you as a child?

I used to be quite studious. I would stay up all night and study for the exams. My friends used to socialize in the canteen but I would either be at home or in the library with my head buried in books. Also I used to be always paranoid about my results.

In Queen, Rajkummar Rao tries to charm and woo you. In real life, what was the scenario like. Did you have many guys queuing up too, say in school and college?

(Smiles) See, when you are in school you don't consider at all these things. Our group was essentially anti-boys. But yeah, there was this guy who I was constantly competing with. Although we didn't have any soft corners for each other, we would try to share information. There were times when he would end up lying. I remember there were many instances where this guy would distract me from my studies. Like he would tell me that he would be attending a particular wedding in the evening and when I would reach the venue, he would never turn up. He would be at home studying. So I used to run back to my home and start studying immediately.

Coming back to the movie industry, how secure do you feel today?

Quite secure. I am getting to do films like Queen, Revolver Rani. So I feel I am getting the kind of work that no one can do other than me in this industry. Like Vikas Bahl said he wouldn't have made Queen without me.

In the last interview with us, you said that you don't believe in the institution of marriage? Do you still stand by it or will we see Kangana settling down anytime soon?

I don't think settling down is the right word to use. I feel when we know our priorities and when we know what we want in life, along the way we find people with common grounds who will accompany us. But to expect somebody to stick around is a little bit too ambitious.

Another 'success in the head' victim. Until yesterday, she was Miss No one! One good movie and these actors start vomiting their mentality.

no one is irreplaceable! the faster kangna learns that, the better it shall be for her! if she had rejected the script, the producer wouldnt have shelved the movie! someone else would have done the role
