Bebo, who doesn't praise someone just coz she has to do it, has been heard singing praises for the Bhatt girl

A little birdie tells us that Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is usually known for self-praises was recently heard praising Alia Bhatt. Most people are aware that Bebo rarely ever compliments others as she considers herself the best and no one in the field can be compared to her. So, it was completely unexpected and shocking when she complimented the Student Of The Year actor.

Yet, of late Kareena has been openly declaring her fondness for Alia Bhatt. Sources from the sets of her upcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein state that Kareena would often talk about Mahesh Bhatt's younger daughter in glowing terms. Says the informer, "Kareena thinks she is the best and there is no one like her, but she still had some kind words for Alia. Bebo seems to be have taken a liking to Alia." -

You've often been compared to Kareena Kapoor Khan...
I'm sick of being compared to Kareena Kapoor. I can imagine how irritated she must be. She's in a different leaguealtogether. No one can be compared to her. I'm a huge fan of Kareena Kapoor Khan. But I'm not trying to be like her because no one can. There's only one Kareena Kapoor.

dis girl is very sweet n positive 😳

"I did but most of the time I was mugging up dialogue on set. Ananya is not a Tamilian caricature. She's not likeDeepika Padukone in Chennai Express. She's a modern day Tam Bram. She speaks Tamil fluently only with her family." -Alia

Nice interview, but oh my Alia Bachi you better have spoken with an accent for the press, especially the Southern one will spit you out if you don't let alone the public.

Deepika's accent was heavy, buy if you think 'modern day bram who speak Tamil fluently only with their families' don't have an accent while speaking in Hindi let me direct you to Hema Malini, Vidya Balan and P.Chidambaram. All Brahmins who speak Tamil at home and speak Hindi fluently, yet with a strong accent. Even Sridevi who speaks fluent Tamil, but is not a Tamilian again has a Hindi accent. So in a movie about differences about two regions based on a Tamil girl you better bring on the accent, if not your understanding of the basic premise of the movie is lost and makes me wonder what else you missed.

Ash is not tamil, she is Konkani. Hema, Vidya and Sridevi don't have an accent when they speak Hindi ? Compare them to a Madhuri Dixit, early movies who was born and brought up in Mumbai or a Kajol who is a Bengali, but brought up in Bombay or an Ayan who is a Bengali, but says he hardly speaks Bengali. But compare that with Konkana Sen Sharma who speaks fluent Bengali, her Hindi is accented. Speaking with an accent is dependent on many things.

You know who speaks fluent Tamil without an accent, not Tamilian but of French descent and lived in Tamil Nadu for many years. Kalki Koechlin. If Alia sounds anything like that, people will find fault.

Also, I googled Alia's accent in two states and the decision was made by the producers and the director looks like, not Alia herself. It is not Alia's fault or decision. So, she is going to wear a saree, bindi, braid her hair, wear flowers (all caricatures of Tamilians or Southern) but she will not speak with an accent. That should go well with the press and the public in the South especially in Tamil Nadu with people who are super proud about their language and Hindi is not so popular that is not used in boards and buses like most every state, even in the South.

I don't blame Alia for being sick of being compared to Kareena. You can only survive Bollywood if you are unique. I don't blame Kareena either for not wanting a newcomer to be compared to her...Kareena's expression might have been a little rude but what she said was actually very good advice for Alia..why would she want to be Kareena..she should be Alia. You would expect Kareena to be happy that someone wants to be like her but she didn't.

I don't know about others..but Alia doesn't remind me of Kareena at all onscreen..other than both are natural actresses onscreen and they come from filmi family and that they are both light skinned.

It's not just with Alia..Bollywood is obsessed with so and so is the next Maduri the next Kareena blah blah blah..wasn't it Parineeti who has been compared to Vidya?

Maybe Alia wants to cultivate a more intelligent persona about herself and being compared to Kareena means just being assumed you are a dumb arrogant suffering from foot in the mouth disease like her. Lol.
