Arjun reminds me of an early Anil Kapoor in Teezab with the same kind of intensity. Anil is like Govinda, nothing stands out about him, but he found what he was good at and worked hard to hold on to it. With age he has become better and he is good at using, being appreciative of and working at all opportunities that come his way. Just look at the way he leveraged Slumdog into a Hollywood career. Many BW actors would love to go to HW, they make a big show of how they would go to HW only for the right opportunity and not bit parts while all the time you can see they really want it. Anil is not picky, he took what came his way and leveraged it into something bigger.

Two states trailer looks very interesting, I don't see the flaws people mention here. If Arjun works hard there is no reason he cannot have a career, maybe not as a big star, a mediocre one, but a career.

I don't like star kids but I don't mind someone who works hard, is appreciative of what has been handed to them on a silver platter and is constantly improving. What I cannot stand is a sense of entitlement and laziness which Abhishek personifies. AB comes across like he is doing us a favor by gracing the screen. He used to be joyful and fun loving before, now he comes across as bitter and resentful. Perhaps he should retire and send Aishwarya back to work and spent time in the preschool with his daughter. Being surrounded by children could maybe restore the joy and fun he once seemed to have in abundance.

Totally agree with the post. I have always thought Arjun is a inferior version of AB Jr. Untoned body, expression less face, In fact they both have big cheeks making their talking style look same.
Feel bad for both of them though.. but if they are in this cut throat competition, they need to be working hard...

Has anyone considered the possibility that he is out of shape because he is still grieving the loss of his mother? Actors are humans too you know. Many people take to comfort eating while coming to terms with personal loss.

So let's cut the guy some slack, he was really good in Ishaqaade. I hope he takes some time off and comes back stronger.

Even with flabby body Boney Kapoor had got himself a Sridevi & Abhishek has got Aishwarya so don't know about his movie career ,if he works hard he may improve whatever but he will sure have a world class beauty alongside him even if he goes back to his old looks .

Flabby . No charm.

There's dz scene in Gunday where he aag lagons Ranveer's stuff n walks away .. There was no intensity nor josh in it, bad aag laga ke I gotta walk am gonna walk :| as if goin to school. :| !
