And how is it double standards, if it was the same people calling Bebo desperate that are not finding DP the same then it'd be double standards, no such opposition from her fans/or those that have indulged in the same here though. 😛

How is it any different to what any successful ACTRESS does be it Aish asking for Choker Bali (all when another actress had already been signed on) or PC asking Madhur for Heroine after the Aish debacle.

She was asked about it and she said she'd take up the movie if it was offered to her...I don't see the problem? I like that she isn't afraid to lobby for a role, it shows that she isn't full of herself. This is the go getter attitude that got her to where she is.

When she was asked about being part if ramleela she also said the same thing that she hasn't been approached. Even when asked about shuddhi she is saying she hasn't been approached, I am sure being one of the biggest stars of the industry that she has been approached but due to the producers she is not allowed to reveal anything. I didn't find anything desperate in wat she said.
It's obvious that discussions r still going on about the cast, I mean even sooraj hasn't confirmed who his leading lady is. We will just have to wait until the decision is made and karan announces.

Nothing wrong with that...Deepika and other actresses make it known to the director that they would like to work with them. It is kind of making contacts and solicitating.

When we hear about an upcoming contract, our company start ending feelers that we would like to be part of that project. We fill in tenders and bid for the project. And finally get the project or not.😊

BW is a business. One has to survive...

It is to only Deepika, it was all over the paper when they were casting for Dhoom3, Dostana 2, Bombay velvet...and so on...why only call Deepika desperate...😕

Nothing wrong in lobbying for work, I actually consider it as aspiring and showing interest in working rather than having a huge ego and not have work...

But want to see the reaction of the members who criticized other actresses like Kareena, when she did similar thing and she was bashed so much especially when Salman and Arbaz said that she begged for "Fevicol se" 😆 😆

I wouldn't say it's desperation. It's actually stupidity- you would yes to a movie without knowing the story, script, your character, etc. How can she say "I'll do it". She could have said if I like the role I'll do it.

I do find her desperate in many other ways such as the stories in the media about her being apart of EVERY movie.
