for eg: ram leela was definitely more about Dp's star power than Ranveer. but he maks more than her. Or say even katrina, no matter how much we criticize her acting, she definitely pulls more ppl in the theatre than ranveer. but paid less than him

P.S: not picking on ranveer. its just the most obvious difference given how new he is to the industry

Nah! pick up any of the khans, or top actors... and all of them without exception made a horrid last film. No plot, no sense, no need to even act. just show up on the screen and rake in 100s of crores. Only good work sells is a myth. TDP was the exception.

i think a couple of years back some actress stuck to her guns and demanded more money than the actor because she was the most famous one. (bipasa? I think, can't remember) ... and poor bollywood was shocked to its sexist roots.

Compare this to Hollywood, where Sandra Bullock was reportedly paid more than George Clooney for Gravity!

The only time YRF paid the actual market rate for an actor was to Aamir in Fanaa and probably in D3 too. Apart from that, they are known to underpay every single actor under their banner, including SRK (something like Balaji Telefilms does to its actors.)
