Shaadi Ke Side Effects showed huge growth on Saturday as it collected around 7.25-7.50 crore nett adding to the 5.25-5.50 crore nett on Friday and taking its total to around 12.75 crore nett. The growth was phenomenal in most circuits as most circuits showed 40% growth.

Delhi/UP and East Punjab which actually had decent collections on Friday rose 40% and even circuits like CPCI were showing 40% more collections. The collections on Friday may have been held back a bit by the Indi v Sri Lanka cricket match.

Shaadi Ke Side Effects will emerge a success and possibly even a hit but has a long way to go for that due costs being pretty high.

My review:
A decent one time watch. The movie has its funny moments but starts meandering in the second half with repeated scenarios. It was as if the writers had to make a 2.5 hr movie but didnt know what to put in there beyond 1.5 hrs. You can watch it if you are bored have nothing to do. I give it a 2.5/5.

Now I have some points here. *SPOILERS AHEAD*
-I couldnt connect to Farhan's character much as beyond a certain age people leave behind their previous phase in life. Like Farhan's character Sid wants to remain the carefree youngster many years after marriage plus a 5 year old kid.
-The movie was from the male POV so SKSE on women arent really shown.
-Sid says telling each other the truth is important for a marriage...yet for me the movie seemed to say its communication which is most important.
-Suddenly Sid realizes his duties towards his family. Why...I couldnt figure out.
-Why does Sid go and confess to his wife about his double life is also I couldnt figure out
-The aunty track with Ila Arun was completely pointless. She didnt add anything to the plot at all.
-Vidya's clothes were horrendous. While they might want her to depict a modern working woman...but such women dont always roam around with clothes that make you want to scream-Wear trousers woman! Vidya simply doesnt have the body type to wear revealing western clothes. What's wrong in classy shalwars or saris anyway?

Basically the movie has lot of incidents strewn together but after a point it was pointless. I mean its tough to connect with a guy who has it all-a nice wife, a lovely kid, a decent career
