I don't like Alia much mainly because of her interviews. She reminds me of young Kareena, has that "holier-than-thou" attitude to her. But maybe she's too young and can't understand all this yet. I really think she needs some education in some field, just so she can go through that process and mature. She comes across as very childish.

Well Javed Akhtar's comment was an exaggeration to its limits..Comparing her with Nutan and Nargis and Shabana Azmi was indeed too much..😆

I haven't seen Highway so I don't know whether she was good or bad from the promos she looked good. However I do agree with extra hype over her, it is getting really annoying and desperate. There are other actors as well.

The critics are praising alia...because no one expected anything from her after SOTY...and lo behold she gives a reasonable performance...so everyone is surprised...If such a performance was given by Vidya or Kareena or Priyanka...critics would have been...ya she is OK...because they are used to amazing performances from these actresses...but right now because of SOTY an average performance looks very appealing and amazing...Its all relative...
