No I like todays cinema ... much more realistic, good characterisation and plot, 90s were overflowing with melodrama & NRI romance barring a few ... new age directors are better in terms of story telling and actors are more subtle, real. Don't miss the 90s at all

its not about any era,in every era there are good and bad filMs,but the way young people are being potrayed in todays film is gross,we have had double meaning dialouges earlier, rain drench songs but there was something magical about them like songs like tip tip barsa paani-raveena was so good in the song without being vulgar, today romance means only sleaze which is a big put off, nobody expresses love through expressions or holding hand

Bollywood thinks that being vulgar and immoral is modern and progressive.

What BW often forgets and neglects is the fact that BW only gained worldwide recognition due to its unique dance, culture, blushing, romance and melodrama expressed in movies such as KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAM or HUM APKE HAI KOUN. If these factors would not exist and sadly today would they do not than there is no difference between BW and HW. Why has the German or Canadian movie industry not gained such recognition worldwide, because they do not differentiate themselves from HW. BW did and this is why they got fame. Instead of carrying those factors they are being neglected and in long-term BW will pay their price for this routine and path

but Naina get him back in Kabhi Alvia naa kehna..Hahaha..

And I am glad they stopped making such unrealistic melodramatic movies!! Movies today are much better. More real more relatable less melodrama. Movies like Vicky donor, hasaa toh phasee, ek main aur ek tu, OMG, TZP, Kahani, English Vinglish are higher quality films! They are rooted and they are breaking taboos! They deal with real people with real issues where life is not an overdose of sugar and everything is black and white! As for intimate scenes yes I agree that is not necessary- I still feel uncomfy about them watching with families...
