Review: Highway is extremely disappointing - Page 2

Yikes. He's harsh.

But...err.. I am not surprised tbh. Imtiaz's films/written scripts have fast spiraled into the boring, ridiculous, and unbearable category post JWM.

He just cannot write anymore. Should get someone else to write so he can direct..maybe that'll be better because the fault is all in the lame scripts.

Still it's only one review, so it could get better from here.

lol she plays a rick girl in the film from the promos i thought she was poor or something. bt i knew this movie was gona be pathetic alia looked like she was still in her soty character bt just without makeup. i feel bad though coz of randeep i was expecting more from him

I was so excited for this film and Alia until I saw the trailer.

Agreed. Imtiaz is over-rated! With the exception of Socha Na Tha and Jab Tak We Met, all his other films have been at the best entertaining, but nowhere near as brilliant and flawless as critics hail him to be. I personally loved Rockstar, but that was only and only because Ranbir salavaged it with a knockout performance. Else, the script was riddled with plot loopholes. Love Aaj Tak was also at the best a breezy rom-com, nothing special about it!

Anyway, its too early to judge Highway, but Aseem Chabra is a relatively moderate kind of reviewer and if he is so negative about the films, then it looks a bit bleak!

And films like Highway with no chartbusting music or big names desperatley need great WOM and reviews to make it work on any level!

To be honest, I quite like Immy's films😳😆 He makes them pretty entertaining and that's what ultimately matters. What bugs is the 'intellectual' / 'intelligent film-maker' title that is given to him...which is so not true. The promo's of Highway did look pretty good... this is just one review, lets see. But even if the reviews were excellent, I still don't see it doing well at the BO! Too much competition.

I feel imtiyaz is over rated , n always ar rehmans music is saving grace of his movies , he always has good first half , n second half he is just searching ways to finish it. I liked socha na tha , it had freshness , n even jwm. He needs good actors to save his movie , aliya is amature , randeep is good , I will still see the movie for randeeps acting . Love aj kal was not great, and so was rockstar . Rockstar was over rated.ranbirs acting was terrible in rockstar , it was not convincing , ranbir cant play emotional scenes well like ranveer.but ar rehmans music was wow.

Awww, I was actually looking forward to the film! Sigh.
