Wouldn't go as far as saying that. I'd say she's closer to the OTT characters Kajol and Rani used to play.

Vidya did a Parineeta so early in her career, can Parineeti do that?

Parineeti = MOST OVER RATED over-the-top loud actress of current lot, who played JUST ONE role in all of her films released till date.

Jenny deserves all the hype. Hunger games franchise is one of the most successful ever and all that with female carrying the films. Winning Oscars at such a young age shows her class too and no one had any doubts she deserved it. She"ll win best supporting most probably with Cate winning best actress. ;)

point is, the industry and the media does take part in selective encouragement...when ranbir does a barfi...everyone goes "OMG...SO AWESOMEEE...AMAAZEBALLS..." ...when ranveer does a Lootera...everyones like "yeah whtever"...

Same happened with Ranbir and Rocket Singh. Barfi was praised cos it was a commercial success too else it would have been treated like another RS. Also the fact that it collected 100 cr shows it connected with the audience despite not having typical commercial ingredients. Lootera and Rocket Singh failed to do that.
