I saw the move in the theatres and was really overwhelmed by it and thought Farhan was fantastic. However, when I look back now, I don't really think it was a masterpiece or anything. Farhan had a great physique and acted well but I do think in terms of emotions Ranveer in Ram Leela gave a more powerful performance.

Tell me about it .. the whole f***ing movie was overrated .. I have not been able to understand the whole hoopla about it .. there were better films and performers last year .. whoever gave that award to farhan must have been totally biased

It was a really good performance and Farhan did very well. But it probably wasn't an exceptional performance. Ranveer Singh in Lootera may have been better as he really broke a mold for that film. I actually liked Arshad Warsi in Jolly LLB and Emraan Hashmi in Ghanchakkar. I feel comedy sin't appreciated enough.

In the end BMB isn't as overrated as made out to be. It was a fair pick. It was a popular movie with a good acting performance.

^agreed Ranveer was brilliant in RL...even better than DPad in some scenes.

The scene where his brother dies...the change in expression from laughing to crying was just brilliant. That scene alone was better than what Farhan did in the entire movie.

oh yes Arshad was really good as well though I felt he hammed in couple of scenes,

Emraan was completely neglected for his brilliant performance just cz the film didn't work at BO or with the critics.

My mom who isn't fond of EH even said that wow he is acting for a change while watching Ghanchakkar😆

Farhan is a good actor and there's no doubt about it but, not like something better he's not done earlier!!

I finally watched it.

Yes. The performance is totally overrated. It was superficial. I love Farhan, but all he managed to do was LOOK like Milkha. He didn't "feel" it. The film was overrated too. I expected better.

The best performance I saw last year was without any competition Dhanush. Period.

The only film I missed was Shahid/The Lunchbox I think.
