Emraan can say whatever he wants. I just don't know how this can be called "plastic"...

One is a personal barb against a public figure

The other promotes a scary global phenomenon.

See the difference?

Exercising my freedom of speech - nia is an idiot.

Also, where does the question of freedom of speech arise? Did she get a gag order from the court? No. So no one is taking away any of her freedom vis a vis emraan. Just like she is free to display her idiocy, others are free to comment on it. ppl just found emraan less offensive than nia. That is personal choice not hypocricy

They both have freedom of speech, but I thought Nia's comment was worse.
Emraan was asked a question and he answered it.

Nia on the other hand was just making a statement, and the way she said it just seemed wrong. She was saying they're not huge their gigantic, and that she would commit suicide if she looked that big.😕 And she carried on making comments on it.
Firstly I don't think they're huge or gigantic, that's such a big exaggeration and secondly she makes suicide seem like it's something trivial.

If Emraan said the same thing as Nia, people would have made an even bigger deal about it, I don't think it has anything to do with her being a telly actor.

The differences are:
1) Nia was being very insensitive especially considering the fact that Sonakishi has publicly expressed her insecurities regarding her weight on a number of occasions. I'm sure Daisy is equally insecure about her wieght. Coming into an industry where most of the A listers are skinny and have good figures must be daunting for her.

2) There's a difference between calling a woman who is already conscious about her weight gigantic and calling a woman who hasn't had any surgery and is touted as one of the most beautiful women , plastic.

3) No-one asked Nia for her opinion. Emraan replied to a question he was asked. He was on KWK what do u expect? Its not like he randomnly started saying Aish is plastic.z

4) Sonakishi doesn't need reminding that she's fat when a) she's already received criticism by others and b) its very hard for her and Daisy to lose the weight.

5) Lastly callling any woman gigantic will have a more of a lasting effect than calling a woman plastic would.

Both Emraan and Nia were rude. Agreed.

In my personal opinion calling someone gigantic is far worse than boring or plastic.

My hierarchy is as such

High Level Offence: s**t, wh**e, skank, home wrecker etc.

Mid Level Offense: Fat, anorexic, Junkie, gigantic etc.

Low Level Offense: Plastic, catty, bitchy, cranky etc.

Non offense: Fake, pretentious, talentless, boring etc.

No nia doesn't have freedom of speech on someone's "gigantic hands" and vidya's weight gain because Karan ASKED emraan
No one asked nia and her take on vidya and sonakshi and emraan has proved his mettle
Never sucked up to anyone for success , still is a good actor
Unlike nia who only has one tv show to her credit which had 4 people in lead roles
So no as an actress she has no right to comment on sonakshi or vidya because there is something called respect and basic manners
Emraan called Aamir boring which is NOT something offensive
In the world of glamour , gigantic is a very offensive word
Emraan called aish plastic in a one word answer didn't question her acting or looks or her appearance , plastic could be many things, one would be fake
Emraan has more interaction with aish than any of us do so he might have some experience

my response from the Emraan topic: https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/100080161

That's simply his opinion...and he's entitled to have one.

If you're up at the top, then you're free to take digs at others below you, like Salman with Ranbir in the past KWK episodes.

But if the reverse happens, the first thing people say is "who is he/she" and start measuring the successes of both parties. Why? It makes no sense. The same happened with Nia Sharma in a different thread. Although I don't agree with what she said, it was her opinion...but the posts after the article was posted were more "Who is she?" or "She's not going to make in Bollywood" rather than disagreeing with what she said. Since when do you need to be a big name or be a bollywood star to have an opinion on bollywood celebrities?

If you disagree with what an actor says that's fine. Everyone in this forum disagrees with XYZ on a daily basis...but why question their right to an opinion? I never understood that. They can be A-listers, B-listers, aam log...everyone should be able to state what they think without people pointing out their aukaat.

So then why was LoveProfusion called out for criticising Emmy's remarks on Aish? 😛

That's because Aish is not a fav on this forum. Vidya is.
I am positive if Emraan said something negative about Vidya on KWK the response wouldn't be the same as for Aish.

Are you kidding me? Being called plastic and fat is just as bad. How would you feel if someone called you plastic?
