Nobody said Emraan is cool... (atleast I didn't) ... And I didn't degrade Nia for beig a telly actress either...
But he wasn't lying about Aish... She is fake and come across that way onscreen especially the way she conducts herself whereas Nia was discriminating against a whole group of women who probably look like Daisy or Vidya Or Sonakshi and went to the extent to say she will commit suicide if she looked that way... Aish being fake isn't affecting anyone... Nia calling Vidya, Daisy, Sonakshi and leading ladies who are not "skinny" as "huge" and "gigantic" is not only sending out a very wrong message to the youth but its discrimination of a certain type of women and body type.. And alot of the leading ladies in today's day and age are not size zeroes... Even Kareena Kapoor herself, who apparently started the trend, is voluptuous herself these days...

whereas Aish being plastic is basically saying that the way she carries herself looks fake with her fake accent and all...

Ah i din read the entire thread but i get you..My point is if Katrina had made a similar statement, i can bet on the fact that there would have been comments about how a non-actress like Kat has no bloody right to pass such obnoxious comments on someone of Vidhya's caliber😆 Even now, i read comments about how a semi-po*n star like Emraan has no right to comment on THE Aishwarya Rai😆 But yeah, i do get you..There is a certain prejudice against telly actors and a lot of it has to do with the obsessive fans😆

Trust People on IF to make a mountain out of molehill.
Anything against their liked one is offensive.
Both comments were ok.

and Hypocrisy was also when they call names to anyone they dislike here, but all celebrities should be diplomatic or their single comments would be dissected here to no end.

I think with Nia it is considered far MORE offensive than what EH said is because she does seem to have major psychological issues regarding her weight. She has often spoken about her love for thin-ness (which actually means resembling a tooth-pick 😆) so when you see the context & the little history attached to this girl, it is down-right scary!!

As for what EH said, well, she is very, very often called that. I do think it is offensive & I am curious to see what brought that on.

Maybe it is just the Rapid Fire, that seems to bring out the beast in everyone!!! 😃

I'm a Singaporean. Here, we speak a creole language called Singlish (kind of like Hinglish). When I'm with family and friends, I speak Singlish. When I'm in my professional environment or with native speakers of English, I speak standard English (without the singaporean accent). Am I fake and plastic too? Never really understood this unnecessary hate on aish's accent. She's been around. Its natural she picks up on accents and moulds hers to suit her professional environment. What do you expect her to be on an international platform and use a heavy indian accent? I don't get this part. Really.. If we take a look at the psyche of the Bollywood Media and its history and associations with some 'personalities', I guess I could understand the name-calling. Hmm.

Everyone has a right to an opinion, Emmy and Nia. And everyone also has a right to agree and disagree.

I personally think both are a bit rude, but I take more offense to body-image comments (especially when women made those comments towards other women). A lot of women in this world don't have an "BW face" or "ideal, hot body" so when girls so out and say shit like that it strikes a chord with the female fanbase and it jsut hurts (on a personal level too). I think with the Aish comment there isn't much of a personal connect if you're not a fan. What Nia said was blatantly rude, but what some fans said about Emmy's son after he gave his opinion was even more rude.

It's fine to express your opinion. But then we ready for all the praise and criticism that comes with it. I think ppl in general here have a more neg view about Aish' off-screen persona pre-Aara and a lot more ppl have warmth up to her too. Emmy and many here have one perception of her and I and her other fans and friends have a different perception. And it's only fair that both sides we allowed to express themselves ON a FORUM.
