The value of a star is gauged from how much he is a part of pre release buzz. Dhoom promos are still about Aamir and Katrina. For his so called hits like Guru and BnB, it was songs featuring heroines that hogged limelight.Bol Bachchan had Ajay-Asin song dominating promos. Where's Abhishek?
I see how he's given sole credit for Yuva and others are ignored. But if show's dominated by others then there's talk of teamwork and giving some credit to team member Abhishek too.
I'm a huge fan of Amitabh but can't bring myself to extend sympathy wave for Abhishek. There are star kids better than him who vanished because their families weren't that influential.
I've never seen other actors clamour so much for attention after success of a film as Abhishek does (backed by his family). That reflects desperation.
Abhishek's a supporting entity at best. But does not accept it. I've never seen an Arshad Warsi claim that Munnabhai is nothing without Circuit. Or Maddy and Sharman assert themselves in success of RDB and 3I.
Abhishek's the only one who holds this "Hum bhi khade hain raahon mein" signboard like a wannabe.
