Yash Raj Films' Dhoom 3 reeled almost Rs 30 crore, all-India, on day one and distributors believe the film will cross the Rs 100-crore mark in its first three days itself. Over to them:
Rajesh Thadani, Multimedia Combines, Mumbai
As assumed, Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 has broken records and has reeled almost Rs 30 crore in the Hindi market, all-India, and Rs 11 crore in Mumbai itself. The film will set a new benchmark, which I believe will be difficult for anyone else to break.
Brijesh Tandon, HK Tandon and Company, Delhi-UP
Aamir Khan has fans of all ages in India and he has proved it, once again, with Dhoom 3. The film did amazing business yesterday and collected Rs 6 crore in Delhi-UP alone. Since morning, occupancy has been 80 per cent today. By evening, shows will run house full and I am sure tomorrow will see records collections.
Debashish Dey, Aum Moviez, West Bengal
Dhoom 3 will definitely has already set a new benchmark by releasing on a non-holiday and by running all its four to five shows house full. This alone is a record. The film has collected Rs 1.6 crore in West Bengal, higher than any other film to date, including holiday releases.
Ravi Machhar, Sahyog Films, Nizam
As predicted, Dhoom 3 has broken all advance booking records. I knew the film would do very well but I did not expect it to blaze such a trail. In the Nizam territory, it reeled in Rs 4.61 crore, a huge sum for our territory. Today too, the morning shows were 80 per cent occupied and by evening, they will be house full yet again.
Jeetu Khandelwal, Movie Pioneers, Orissa
With Aamir Khan and Yash Raj Films partnering, everyone had assumed the film would be mind-blowing - and it is. The audience loves the film and, in Orissa, the film reeled in around Rs 60 lakh, is a huge amount. Today, collections show no signs of letting up.
Gaurav Gaur, O'Real Imaginations, Rajasthan
I don't remember seeing audiences in Rajasthan going crazy for a film like the have for Dhoom 3.Advance booking usually starts on Wednesday evening but for this film, it opened on Sunday morning. The film has earned around Rs 2 cr in Rajasthan. This is amazing business and audiences love the movie.
