interesting all c grade movies rocked the boxoffice this yr.

Dhoom 3 Third Friday Business

Dhoom 3 collected around 3 crore nett on its third Friday. The third week will not see any records as Three idiots collected a huge 33 crore nett in its third week but still the collections will be excellent for Dhoom 3.

The second highest total for the third week is a little over 19 crore nett by yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Dhoom 3 should be able to beat that figure. The film has had an extraordinary run over the first two weeks so it is inevitable that the film will slow a bit.

The film will beat the previous all time high grosser Chennai express by more than 30%. Surprisingly the out performance has come in East Punjab where it will set a new high by around 50% and this is despite the cold weather.

Sholay (Re-Run) Opens Better Than Mr. Jo B Carvalho Dhoom 3 Extraordinay Week Two

Mr. Jo B Carvalho opened to a dull reponse all over with collections of around 10% and was beaten by the umpteenth re run of Sholay which collected more despite being on less screens and a film which is 38 years old. Sholay (re-run) had fair collections at places and can pick up well over the weekend while Mr. Jo B Carvalho has little hope.

Dhoom 3 had an extraordinary second week with collections around the 65 crore nett mark. The film has collected around 239 crore nett in Hindi and could hit the 275 crore nett mark by the end of its run. The film already has the highest all time figures in every circuit apart from Mumbai.

R... Rajkumar collected around 50 lakhs nett in week four.

Dhoom 3 Third Friday Business

Dhoom 3 saw first notable drop at most of the circuits on 3rd Friday. Circuits like Dhli/UP fell around 40% and even Mumbai City also fell around 30%. Y'day's trends have suggested that movie won't be breaking third Week record of 3 Idiots which had collected 31cr approx.

Despite such fall movie will collect decent over the Weekend and will collected around 17-19cr in third Week. Movie might not cross yeh jawaani hai deewani's 20 cr approx Week three collections but will overtake Chennai Express's 17cr approx Week three collections..

Movie collected 3cr approx on 3rd Friday and good growth over the Weekend can ensure over 12cr 3rd Weekend.

Dhoom 3 Mumbai Update:: Week Two record of 3 Idiots safe

Dhoom 3 had collected 52cr approx in Week One in Mumbai which is record Week One business. Movie has carried on that historical run with second biggest Week two collections.

Movie added 21cr approx in Week two in Mumbai taking two Weeks total to 73cr approx. Highest Week two collections in Mumbai are 22cr approx by 3 Idiots. Dhoom 3 will cross 3 Idiots record of 79cr by coming Thursday or Friday.

Dhoom 3 broke Week Two record of all territories except Mumbai where four years old record of 3 Idiots still stand.

A lot of people felt that Hritik was better than Aamir in the Dhoom franchise. Some even went onto say that SRK or Salman would have done a far better job. But the storyline of this part of the franchise was fitted exactly for Aamir. And he was brilliant!! SRK's Chennai Express would not have fetched so much attention in the international market but Aamir does quality films. I mean the guy who only does one film a year will never do films he does not fully believe in just for the sake of doing films.

no one has doubts on Aamir's acting skills, but it was disappointing why he didn't notice the plotholes in the movie...till the intermission the movie was absolute fab. post intermission, the movie collapses like a pack of cards...

aamir's performance as a mentally challenged guy wasn't convincing for me as a fan. and her romance with katrina was even more stale than what with srk. i know why aamir did this movie everyone knows. it wasn't the script. he was on pressure to deliver. after what the thanda reception he got from talaash he was almost written off from the khan list. no khan at this point can afford to give a semi hit which Aamir has understood. that's why he went for a weak script like D3.

having said this, All in all Aamir has worked really hard for the movie. it shows up, just wish it was for a better film i hope PEEKAY would do that.

I have to admit..this was one of those movies made to make some big money. So that was a bit disappointing from Aamir.

For a good movie, collections go steady in the 3rd week..which dhoom3 is failing to achieve.
But it's fine to do such movies once a while..Afterall he's given us so much of masterclass which other actor's have failed to.

Now all hopes on Peekay and it is bound to be amazing.
